Heyaas~
Haven't posted for a long time.
I can't think of anything to do for midnight today anyway.
Plus I was quite sleepy just now.
Don't know why sleep a few minutes not tired already -.-

It's Chinese New Year.
Parents went to Malaysia yesterday morning,
and won't be coming back till around Friday.
So for 5 days I'm all alone at home~
Hardly any food courts open too,
so I'm down to fast food.
Had Subway for late lunch yesterday,
and bought some microwave food from 7-Eleven for supper.
Anyway let's rewind several weeks.

Not really happy with my O level results.
Got 19 points taking Chem into account.
Was satisfied with my English's B3 coz I know I crapped it.
My oral didn't go well either so I'm quite surprised I got B3.
I wanted at least an A2 for Maths so I'm quite happy I got it.
Rather contended with my Physics B3.
Didn't expect to get a B3 for Physics coz I screwed it up worse than Chem.
Chem suffered though.
Chem I got C6.
Really don't know how.
But that year the Chem results also not very good.
If I got around B4 for Chem,
like I usually do,
then I'll be hitting my target 17.
D&T was C5.
Amazingly I scored more for D&T than Chem.
But D&T I wanted B4.

Applied for animation course.
We were given 12 choices.
First 3 I put animation,
next 3 is games design,
followed by 3 visual effects,
then 2 interactive media,
and finally Film, Sound & Video.
But now I'm wishing I get into Visual Effects haha.
No reason.
I see my friends struggle in games design I also scared already.
Animation is probably the same.

My aunts called the day before my parents went to Malaysia.
So my parents were like trying to convince them that I'm old enough to stay at home.
They told my aunts that they're only going for 3 days.
Also told them that before I go over to their house today,
I have work to do.
I told them to say that actually.
If they hear that I'm working then they'll probably feel more relieved.
So I brought my equipments over today.
Didn't use it much in the end.
It always felt nice to carry it around anyway.

Went to my other aunt's house after that.
This one's my maternal side.
Went there for dinner since I don't feel like eating fast food,
and neither did I felt like going home.

Oh ya I forgot about equipments.
My Mom promised to buy me a piece of equipment if I get into poly.
So I was targeting the MB-D11.
Several days after taking my results,
I asked her how much she's willing to fork out.
She said $200,
and i was like "Huh?"
"$200"
My heart sank ~.~
Not that I'm not grateful of the $200,
but this is the one and only time she spent on my equipment.
And she tells me $200.
But few days later she gave me $500 instead.
Now that is way too much.
I don't like taking too much money either.
Around $300 would be nice for me.
I'll be able to buy what I want and not feel guilty for spending too much.
But either way on a Sunday I bought my SB700 from SLR Revolution at $423.
One day later SGCameraStore is on a one-day sale of SB700 for $350.
FML.
I could've covered the battery and charger costs with that $73.
i already had that gut feeling telling me not to buy but I still did.
Oh well.
Could've covered 8 2000mAh Eneloops and a 2-hour quick charger.
Buy already don't regret bah.
I had around $80 leftover from work,
so I joined the money and got a Hercules 3rd party grip for $68 1-day sale.
Plus for some odd reasons the grip I got doesn't has its dials reversed.
While other D7000 users who got it from the same store at a close date had the front dial reversed.
Whatever.
Guess I just got lucky.

After CNY I promised to go shopping with Jiarong.
Take the CNY money and buy some equipments.
I intend to get a 50mm 1.8D and a dry cabinet.
Dry cabinet takes priority though.
And I'll probably unscrew the hygrometer on my dry box and put it into my dry cabinet.
2 meters are always better than 1.
I don't think I'll be getting much for this year though.
Plus I'm reconsidering the 50mm 1.8D.
Maybe I don't really need it?
But I need to have at least a prime for events.
I guess that's part and parcel of professional photography.
You don't buy what equipment you want.
Rather,
you buy what you need.
80% business and 20% photography.
Gotta bear that in mind.
After the dry cab and prime lens,
I'll get another EN-EL15.
I have a grip anyway so might as well make use of it.
Plus I'm scared that when I shoot full-day events 1 battery isn't enough.
EN-EL15 is so strong that it can probably last through.
But I haven't tried bursting RAW format for an entire day.
Also need an additional set of Eneloops.
Might get the 2500mAh since their price is only a few dollars' difference.
Then the 2000mAh can stay as backup.
After all these it's probably a wide angle.
But I have to shoot more to decide if I need a wide-angle.
If not I'll just get a 28-105mm F2.8.
I think that exists.
Something near there.
I wanna loan the Tamron 17-50mm non-VC to see if I'm fine with the focal length.
If I am then I might get that instead of the 28-105mm.
After that then get a Tokina 11-16mm for UWA,
before getting an SB900.
Haha plan so far already.
Poly is gonna be tiring.
Not even sure if I have all this time to earn for these stuff.

I'm starting to get sleepy heheh.
That's good.
Probably skipping straight to lunch tomorrow.
Hopefully some stores are already open and I can eat regular food.
Keep having the feeling that a certain taste is missing from my taste buds though.
Like there's something I'm craving for but haven't eaten for a long time.

I just know it's something that comes in different flavors,
so waffle and rice ball makes sense.
I'll just keep myself busy for a while more before going to sleep.

very long never post already even though it's holiday.

Eating Cheese Omelette Pizza Snacker and Hot Chocolate from 7-Eleven now.
The Pizza Snacker isn't anything new.
But the Hot Chocolate is.
I always wanted to try it but it just wasn't available.
Not until today XD
It's too hot though so I only took a teaspoon now.
Intend to drink it after I finish my Snacker.
Sure am eating lots of junk food nowadays.
No choice la.
Hardly any stores open in the middle of the night.
Only Mac and 7-Eleven to choose from.
Mac quite expensive so I wanna save money.
7-Eleven also expensive but at least not as ex as Mac.

The Hot Chocolate tastes quite nice.
And with the amount inside,
the extra $0.30 is worth compared to the Milo.

Going to Ashriel's house tomorrow.
And maybe the day after I'll go to Sungei Buloh in the morning.
Been sleeping at 9am recently haha.
Need to rebalance my sleep time.
But I kinda like the quietness at night.
Both are fine actually.

Watching Fate Zero nowadays.
It's really nice even compared to Fate Stay Night.
Love the part when Rider interrupted the battle between Saber and Lancer.
Then Kiritsugu up there looking through the sniper rifle's scope
"That idiot nearly conquered the whole world?"
And the new episode yesterday also very nice.
Rider ride into the Einzbern Castle just to chill out with Saber XD
Then Assassin came and interrupt.
Rider offer them a drink,
saying "it's on your blood" but Assassin cut off the scoop with a throwing-knife.
Then Rider say
"Well, I did say that it's on your blood, so if you intend to spill it..."
Then he turn around and release his reality marble.
His whole army come out XD
And I thought I was gonna watch how Saber Archer and Rider thrash the Assassins.
His reality marble is really awesome too anyway.
It's not the ending I expected but it's nothing bad.

I like Assassin's concept in Fate Zero.
He's a single person with many personalities,
or in other words many faces.
Then when Kirei summoned him,
each one of his personality took on one form.
So it's like a battalion of Assassins.

Rider is stealing all the limelight.
It's like as if he's the main character already.
I wouldn't bear to see him die at the end of the series.
At the end only Saber and Archer survived.
That's how it is in the 4th war as depicted in Fate Stay Night.
I wonder when Saber's gonna blast that ship into half.

So in Fate Zero,
Saber is King Arthur,
Archer is Gilgamesh,
Lancer is Diarmuid,
Castor is Bluebeard,
Rider is Iskandar,
and only Assassin is left.
From the ending of Fate Zero,
Assassin is most likely Hassan-i Sabbah from the Assassin Order.
It makes sense anyway.
Throughout his whole life,
he converted from here to there and switched between so many leaders.
It won't be surprising if each phase of his life took on one form.

Half of the post is Fate Zero haha.
I'm also waiting for Towa no Quon to come out next month.

Yosh I'm back after a 1 night ~~stand~~ rest.
The last post I didn't really end it off.
Was so tired after clearing up that I went straight to sleep.

Slept quite early yesterday haha.
Gonna make the road today and hopefully the calefares too.
Not exactly calefares la.
But more or less so.
Maybe a traffic light would be nice too.
But that's gonna require some skills.

The road isn't as easy a sI thought either.
Have to use 2 A4 size papers since 1 piece would be too short.

Finally done with the road~
Hehe sorry no samples.
Don't wanna leak out too much.
I don't even know how many people come to my blog.
I get all sorts off weird searches all day.

Added some effects to the road to make it look more realistic.
After looking at the half-completed model,
I realised that the scenario isn't really so well-portrayed.
Or maybe it's just the perfectionism in me again.
I don't mind not yielding results from this.
I just don't want others to look down on this idea.
That's the very least I hope for for a start.

I do have another idea in mind actually.
But I guess I'll just save that for a later date.
It's a more common idea so it might not be so striking.
Wonder where all my personal ideals went.

Just finished the calefare drawing.
Still thinking of how to place them into the scene...
Both calefares together as one sheet?
Or separate?
I think separate better la.
I need 1 of them to look more outstanding so I'll probably place that closer.
This way the results will be sharper and will gain more attention than the other calefare.

So sleepy my eyes are closing.
Nono going complete the models le.
Cannot close shop yet.
Editing probably tomorrow.
But I want finish placing the models by today.

Took a single photo of it as a sample for myself.
It's really one of the times when I wish I had a speedlight.
Wanting an SB700 so badly now.
Actually I could've gone for Nissin.
But I think using 3rd parties means no CLS.
Don't wanna live without CLS man.

Editing now.
Had to darken the lines on the victim.
It wasn't so bold as compared to the one holding the victim.
Loss of attention.
But now the hard part is the speech bubbles.
Guess I'll do that in real life.
Will look more real as compared to Photoshop.

Alright nearly 5.30am now.
Better go sleep if not I'm gonna wake up real late tomorrow.

working on my first still life project now.
I'm quite certain I can't complete it today though.
I'm just ignoring the mistakes as of now.
Will make a complete version of it after the first draft.

this idea's been in my mind for a long time already.
Or rather,
I always have so many ideas in my mind.
I just don't have the right materials for it.
Today I don't really care anymore.
I'll make do with what I have for now.
Anyway,
here's a portion of the project for show.
It's heavily watermarked and in low resolution.
Don't want people claiming it before I finish haha.

Was drawing the layout for the second part.

Tomorrow's the last day of O level exams.
In fact for me it already ended on Monday.
CLB is easy anyway.
I can say I scored 28/30 for today's paper 2.
But I guess it's my mentality.
I won't feel at ease until it's completely over.

Just woke up from a long nap.
Thank god it's just listening compre tomorrow.
30mins over already.
Just try to get my self sleepy and sleep for as much as I can.
But we have to listen to that audio for 30mins -.-
After that teacher treat us pizza.
And have to burn DVDs.
Keep dragging the collection date for Anne's solemnization.

My iPhone 3GS also spoilt.
Stuck at startup screen
and will blank out for a few seconds every now and then.
At first I managed to fix it in DFU mode.
But it came again so oh well.
Just bought an iPhone 4S this afternoon.
But doesn't feels good at all.
Not that it's bad.
I just don't feel like I'm holding a new phone.
Never wanted to change though.
I just needed a working phone.
My iPhone 3GS is good enough.
This $480 could be spent on an SB700.
Not like my parents would buy me an SB700 if I save this though.
Anyway also not bad la.
iPhone 3GS and 4S cameras are worlds apart.
It'll help me with my iPhoneography.

Speaking of iPhoneography,
now that I've earned $50 I feel like buying that iPhone lens from Ortega.
$45 for macro, fisheye and wide-angle lens.
I think it's quite worth it.
Plus now I'm holding an iPhone 4S so the back is flat.
Can stick on perfectly.
Should I?

Haha long time never post le.
Been busy with O levels.
Now is a 1-week break in between the exams.
After this week take a Physics paper 1 and Chemistry paper 1,
then NO MORE ACADEMIC EXAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOHOOOO~!!!!!!
OK la still got CLB.
But CLB I don't study also get merit one.

OK OK don't talk about studies already.
Been so long since i posted during midnight.
Wanted to go down and buy the Mocha version of Milo,
but it was raining heavily a while back.
Now still okay but better not go out so soon.
Later start raining again haha.
I remember Menon said the hot chocolate is nice.
I wonder if they've fixed the machine yet.
Also getting microwaved pasta again haha.
Hope today have macaroni w/ cheese bah.
It used to be such a small packet,
but now they changed it already.
Now same size as Chicken Carbonara Penne.

Got a job on this coming Wednesday.
It's a simple 2-hour solemnization event.
Paid $50 in total.
Gonna fork out $18 to rent an SB700.
Sending an email to another request right now.
Hopefully I'll get selected.
If the pay is high enough I might be able to buy a backpack first.
Or maybe I should save it to buy a flash.
I guess I'm going for the SB700 first.
Might not be satisfied with the SB900 if I get it straight.
Must have something weaker for me to crave more.
Just like my D60 to D7000 actually haha.
After that see if I wanna sell my SB700 when I finally get a SB900.
If not can use CLS bah.
But that's still long.
I'll be getting flash, tripod, backpack, dry cabinet, prime lens, 17-50.
Backpack first also not bad.
Look more pro and less of a student.
Then in front of client open up actually only 1 body and 2 kit lens XD

Been craving for this mocha taste for days.
And there's the macaroni too.
I fell in love with this mocha accidentally haha.
Was gonna buy canned Milo some time back.
but I didn't check properly before grabbing it since Milo only produces Milo.
So I had no choice buy to drink the Mocha.
Found it quite okay and remembered it few days back.
So I wanted to grab a can.
But it wouldn't feel good in the day so I waited haha.
Wanted to get it yesterday,
but I was too tired.
Didn't even bother turning on the air-con yesterday.
Today finally had a chance to go down and get it.

So long never post already haha.
It's the 1 week break before O levels so I'm kinda secluding myself nowadays haha
Anyway since I have some time before I sleep,
I just updated my iPhone to iOS 5.
Was jailbreaking just now but I made a mistake while entering DFU mode,
so I'm thrown into recovery haha.
Now have to restore the iPhone again T^T

Got into iPhoneography recently.
It's really fun coz I can take photos with nothing at all =D
OK not exactly nothing at all.
I bring my iPhone with me everywhere I go so it's really handy.
Anytime I like I can just snap and do some editing with it.
I even borrowed books to learn about iPhoneography.
I'm reading iPhone Obsessed now.
It's a book which gives examples of taking photos with your iPhone.
It also gives a list of Apps that the author uses.
I downloaded many of them in Installous of course.
Love the LocalSharing feature in Installous.
It allows me to download the IPAs to my laptop
so I don't have to look them up in Installous again.
The hard part is the jailbreaking though.
It's a tethered jailbreak.
I hope it doesn't affects me that much.
I'll never know until I'm limited.
Maybe there's an app to block off the power-off function
in case anyone else turns it off by accident?
Oh hold on it's done restoring.

Have to sync the Apps in now.
Hope I don't enter recovery mode again later.
Before this update there are some nice Apps that I can't use.
Apps like Photoshop Express and DoubleExp.
Hopefully after this update I'll be able to.
The author said that the book is written for 3GS users and above anyway.
Should work with my 3GS.

OMG now the sync is estimated to take around 30mins.
It didn't take that long on the first restoration.
NVM I'll occupy myself here while it's on.
Or maybe I can do some revision...

Steve Jobs passed away...
He's the guy which made iPhone and hence iPhoneography possible.
Such a loss.
Hope his last project: the iPhone 5,
will be out soon.
iPhone 4S was developed by his colleagues in case you don't know.
He knew his time is short so he left it to others and worked on 5 himself.
iPhone 4S has a nice camera though.
I wrote a short review of it on Facebook.
It's all negative comments but honestly,
it's still a good camera.
Of course it can't compare to DSLRs and even mirrorless formats,
but for a phone camera it's already pretty awesome.
Let me dig out the review first...

iPhone 4S camera review

8MP in a 1/3.2" sensor. This means fitting 8MP into a sensor that's so darn. Good luck with noise level.

30FPS at 6MP and 24FPS at 8MP. Don't be fooled~ It uses an electronic shutter, which has increased noise level. True that an electronic shutter can last longer, but mechanical shutters take around 50k photos before they snap. Do you take 50k photos with your iPhone? Besides, the FPS is gonna drain phone memory. Processing and transfer time haven't been accounted for yet. By the time you reach your 30th photo, it should be around 10FPS already, which isn't all that great for an electronic shutter. Will the new A5 processor succumb to such speed? Nikon's new version of Expeed, which is present in the new mirrorless models, can handle 60FPS at 10MP.

Electronic Image Stabilization. With an Aperture of F2.4, you only need a shutter speed of around 1/90s to capture a well-exposed photo. The focal length isn't that huge either, coz it's effectively only a few millimeters. If your focal length is 100mm, you'll need a 1/100s shutter speed to ensure sharp images. Even with the small sensor, the 1/90s shutter speed will still handle the focal length well enough. Plus we're looking at indoors. When outdoors it should go to around 1/300s, which is like guaranteed sharpness. When there is no vibration, the stabilizer will try to search for it, thus creating its own vibration which isn't actually there in the first place.

F2.4 ensures extremely shallow Depth of Field. Seriously? The focal length is claimed to be in the wide-angle range. If it really is, then DoF would not show as much of an effect. Wide-angles are used mainly for landscapes, which uses around F8. The only time when such an aperture matters for wide-angle is during macro photography. But I'm pretty sure the len's minimum focus range is not at macro level. You're gonna need the DIY macro lens to do that.

There you go.
That's my review of it.
it's just based on information though.
Won't know until the phone is tested by reviewers.
The A5 processor is indeed a huge mystery.
No one other than the developers know how well it works.
But I'm guessing it has a huge portion of it dedicated to JPEG handling.
The remaining portion is probably just faster than the iPhone $.
Not "a lot faster",
just "faster".

Sync will be done in a few minutes.
Just now the Apple logo came on too quickly after I hit the power button.
Didn't had time to reach for the Home button.
This time I'll just press both at the same time.

Wonder if my Glass Orb theme works on iOS 5.
The background is still there coz I kinda programmed my phone to have it.
I can do it for the theme too,
but the number of icons for the Apps in Glass Orb is seriously amazing.
I can't programme so many icons!!!!

The Apps were missing at first,
but I managed to sync them back.

they're syncing now.
I like the new sync system.
You can still use your iPhone when the sync is going on.

Didn't know that a newer beta exists.
Anyway I tried to downgrade it to iOS 4.3.5
But it was taking so darn long.
I found a newer jailbreak for my beta 7 in the end and it's working perfectly XD
Now I can have iOS 5 and the iPhoneography Apps together.
After it's done rebooting then it's time to sleep haha

So long no post~
Wanted to post yesterday but I fell asleep.
Oh well.

For the past 2 nights,
Mom went to Malaysia,
and Dad's on night shift.
So even if it's at night,
I sleep by myself =D
The whole house was just me.
A little scary but not as much as I had expected it to be haha.
Felt great.
Don't really get much chances to be at home alone for a few hours nowadays.

Finally have the urge to do my D&T now.
But my 2009 SolidWorks doesn't accepts the files from the school's 2010 SolidWorks.
Plus I have no intentions of getting my DVD drive crashed again so yeah.
The other day I put the SolidWorks DVD in and it crashed.
School gave a DVD that doesn't works.
Guess the school hasn't changed at all.

Monday gonna go to Ashriel's house to get a copy of SolidWorks 2010.
The pirated version of coz..
And also PhotoView 360.
With PhotoView 360 I can finally render my room in full texture ^^
I wonder if there's any way to build soft things in SolidWorks.
Maybe like set a few dimensions,
staple some parts,
then blow the whole thing up?
Too bad Xiao Nan gone already.
If not can ask him.
Every time see him I'll forget what I wanted to ask.
Anyway he's always too busy tending to the other students,
and I end up solving my own problems XD
It's my way of learning anyway.
No trainers,
no special courses,
no institutes.
Just me and my own experience.

Need a proper place to store photos of events.
Tried Flickr but don't really like it.
DeviantArt is good.
But it doesn't really makes sense to have my event photos inside.
If there are sub-albums then no problem.
But now there isn't any.
Alright maybe I can use DeviantArt.
But without any bulk uploader it's gonna be quite a hassle.

Plus the school isn't having enough events held on a large scale.
Those in the hall won't make good photos anyway.

Woke up at 12pm yesterday.

September holidays are here.
Thankfully this time there aren't as many lessons as other holidays.
Monday have motivational workshop.
Seriously man.
Been through upteen motivational workshops since primary school.
They really think 3 extra motivations are gonna make a difference?
After the workshop have Physics lesson at 1pm.
Never say until what time.
I was absent that day so yeah I'm relying on the Facebook page.
Gilbert probably said "See what time your can finish"
So let's just hope that everything ends faster and I can have more free time.
Tuesday also have Geography lessons.
Not gonna be good.
Never say how long or what time either.
Hopefully it won't take too long.
At first Thursday still have maths.
But it's A maths so Mdm Mary said I don't have to come.

Teachers' Day concert over.
Well this time the concert was much better compared to the rest of the year.
But I still miss the old days when they'll mix some of the dance groups in.
Last time during concerts all the 3 dance clubs will perform.
Now they got guitar to replace instead >.>
Only Indian Dance remained.
Well Taekwando got a chance to perform for the first time.
More like a showcase than a performance.
Demonstration would be a better word I guess.
Other than that we're just watching the same things all over again.
The class celebration wasn't so special for us.
We're 4A after all.
Concentrate on studies ^^ my foot.

Shiok 5.21am now haha.

D&T coursework finally over.

Thursday night purposely chiong to 1am so I can't wake up on Friday.

Then I can use it as an excuse to not go school,

and stay at home to work on my folio until 12.30 then bring it to school.

But then just nice go to sleep already 3am wake up crying in pain.

My leg kena muscle tear >.>

Once the pain lessened I fell asleep again.

Then morning 5.30am my Dad wake me up ask me if I still wanna go school or not.

I said no and told him what happened at 3am.

So that's how I spent more time doing D&T ^^

Initial plan didn't exactly fail,

but just nice really can't go school.

Couldn't even stand up in the morning.

7.45am Yi Zhong called me to ask if I'm coming to school.

Had to slowly walk towards my computer desk.

Then for a few hours the only way I can move around the house is by my computer chair.

But after my Mom brought my D&T folio to school,

most of my time is spent on the bed la.

Leg pain can't walk much anyway.

Now okay okay le.

Still pain but it's bearable.

They need to set up the area for today's polls

So we go basketball court lor.

But got lightning alert so cannot play.

In the end only 2 teams of boys played.

The other time when I ran is while running from the Citech to the D&T office.

They go spray that thing for the mosquito.

Insecticide right?

I'm not sure what they spray.

Think is insecticide bah.

So smelly de can't be mosquito repellent.

We're like getting prepared to run.

Then one person open the door a bit we straight chiong out.

Once we're all cleared that person will shut the door immediately.

But never chiong until too mad leh.

Anyway it's been a long time since I posted this late.

Didn't get in through DPA.

Didn't really wanna enter Visual Comm. anyway.
Only chose it coz it's the best I can find.
Maybe I'll try privates.
At the most I'll work hard to pay for it lor.
I love my work anyway,
so it's not much of a pain to work more.

Creating a portfolio in DeviantArt now.
So much better than Flickr I guess.
DeviantArt uses flash animations to view photos,
unlike Flickr.
One thing I really love about DeviantArt is the gallery's unlimited storage.
Too bad portfolio only can have 100 for a free account.
Maybe when the need arises I'll pay for the premium membership.

Hopefully I get the job.
Gonna keep myself occupied during September holidays and the week before.
The week before September holidays is quite nice anyway.
Monday is the school holiday after the presidential elections.
Tuesday is Hari Raya Puasa.
Wednesday is normal school day.
Thursday is Teachers' Day celebration.
Friday is Teachers' Day itself.

Been so long since I last posted.

Not really in the mood to post these few weeks haha.

Editing photos now.

Had National Day celebration in school this morning.

As usual I'm taking photos.

Quite happy with what I have actually.

Quite a bit of good shots.

Had to sneak up on a number of people too haha.

They're right in front of me and I shot them without them noticing XD

Getting better and better haha.

Yesterday keep praying that it won't rain this morning.

If not wet weather programme 3 hours of lessons will resume ~.~

Still editing.

I think I spend more time on watermarking the photos than editing them -.-

Watermark also not easy.

Sometimes need to find a good spot and test different colours for it to be clear.

I even layered 2 watermarks a while back and erased the parts according to the different needs,

then work with the separate layers to make them look equalised.

I'm quite tired to be honest.

Really sleepy.

In fact,

even as I'm typing right now,

my forehead is down on the table with my eyes closed.

I'm accustomed to the keyboard anyway so I know exactly where the different keys are.

DOn't really wanna go to sleep.

Once I sleep I'll lose that high mood that I had today.

Finally done editing the photos.

Time to resize and upload to Facebook.

Today was supposed to have 3 hours of Geography lessons XD
1st period is Geography Time Practice,
so Mr Gilbert is supposed to come in.
But he's not in Singapore today.
He went to San Francisco for a course.
Kelvin Cheok is our temporary form teacher.
He never even come tell us he's not free sia~~~
Then in the end it's our fault for not going to general office again -.-

These few days nothing much happen actually...
National Day coming soon.
Wonder if I'll get to take photos for it.
This time it might really be my last time shooting in school.

Midnight blogging again~
Yesterday didn't blog coz didn't felt like blogging haha.

Yesterday went to meet Menon after school.
Ashriel went home to get his camera first,
together with Jaryl.
Menon said the release of Salvation Sam is going to be in November.
He also told us about his marketing plans,
but I better not disclose it here.

Went to Macs to get some air-con.
Called Ashriel to meet up there.
Chat chat and chat.
Arifah went off first since she was busy.
After that talked about paintball.
At first was just paintball.
But slowly we moved to Urban Warfare.
Wanna try it out one day.
Sounds quite fun.

After that,
Ashriel and I went to the KTM railway tracks at Bukit Panjang.
We went there to focus more on the tracks than just to snap some shots of it.
Even managed to go into the controls' room.
It's where the controls for the blockade is I suppose.
They probably cut off the wires before they left to prevent anyone from using it.
The door was left unlocked haha.

We were balancing on the railway tracks and shooting videos of it.
Mostly are PoV.
Only one of them is stationary.
Wasn't that easy since the rails aren't exactly straight.

Quite a number of old houses hidden at the side of the tracks.
They even have a small plot of farming land right in front of their house.
But when we went there it was all just grass.
There was, though, a man spraying water at them.
They even got a peacock locked up in a huge cage at their doorsteps.
Forgot to go and take a look at it.
How I wish we can enter the houses.
Must be even better than the kampongs.

PoV-ed from our turning point all the way back to the main road.
After that went home.
Time is 6.30pm.

First thing I did when I got home is to submit my application form for DPA.
Signed for Visual Comm. and Film, Sound & Video.
Hopefully I'll get into Visual Comm.
If I get Film, Sound & Video then maybe I won't accept.
Maybe I'll give it a go at the private school first.
Don't really like film productions anymore.
Just like the handle the equipments.
Not gonna be a part of the pre-productions.
But of course,
I don't mind providing recommendations on top of others' ideas for Menon next time.
Will be working for him in a few months' time.

Yeah I haven't talked about the private school right?
Folks at Clubsnap recommended SDA Singapore Campus.
I'm eyeing the Digital Journalism course.
But it's not cheap.
24k for a year.
Need to seriously think first.
That's 2k per month man.

Second midnight post for this weekend.
Gonna be a short one since I'm gonna go to sleep soon.
Have a mini project tomorrow morning so I gotta wake earlier.

Well you guessed it.
The outing's cancelled again.
Pratik could only go out for 2 hours.
And Ashriel could only stay out for 1 hour 45 mins.
Seems like I really am quite free uh.

Next week the application for DPA will start.
Friday to be exact.
Hope I can be one of the 2.5%.
If not then I'm not sure what I wanna do already.
Private school for photography?
Hopefully there is one.
If there is a good one then I'll rather attend that than Temasek Polytechnic.

Also gonna ask Menon to help me write a recommendation as employer.
I believe that'd help a lot.
Having a job waiting for you to finish O levels uh...
Sounds really awesome for those who don't know how I got it.

Oh ya good news.
My Chinese teacher isn't leaving anymore ^^
She said Mr Ong promised to give her a higher pay coupled with an extended contract.
Now she won't be leaving for Fajar Sec in September.

But nowadays there's only 3 Chinese lessons every fortnight.
And our whole timetable is packed with Maths.
Last week though,
we didn't had any Maths lessons.
They were all covered up by the Prelims.
E-maths paper was quite okay.
Easy questions then very easy.
Tough questions really do until want die.
But worst is Chemistry.
The whole class is complaining that what they learned didn't come out for the exams.
I even memorised the whole solubility table.
Physics was also quite hard.
Anyway this is Prelims so everything is meant to be hard.
O level standard isn't as high as this actually.
If can score A1 prelims,
then O level shouldn't be a problem.

Got back English results for Free Writing.
More like we forced the teacher to give it to us XD
She said the results for that was terrible so she doesn't wants to affect our Prelim mood.
But coz many of us didn't do the holiday homework,
the class was like trying to stall time.
In the end she just sat at the teacher's table and let us ask questions.
Everyone bombarded her XP
It's like she didn't remember about the holiday homework at all.
Operation successful.

Didn't post last night coz I fell asleep heheh.
It's amazing that I didn't realise I've fallen asleep until next day morning.
Sad at first I thought I could do this for 3 nights straight.
Turns out I fell asleep for one night XD
Oh ya Monday is Youth Day by the way,
that's why I was supposed to do it for 3 nights.
Nvm count myself unlucky.

Monday going out with Ashriel and Pratik to Lower Pierce Reservoir for macro shots.
Need to build up the new ring flash tomorrow.
Yes I know it's been months but I still haven't build it.
But I might not be bringing it since it's not very handy.
The size and distance is quite fixed.
I just hope nothing goes wrong.
Always wanted to go to one of the reservoirs and take photos.
I heard at Lower Pierce Reservoir
there are many species of insects,
which mosquitoes do not fill up much of.

Borrowed Fundamentals of Photography: The Essential Hand by Tom Ang
I must say,
it's the best photography book I've borrowed so far.
It teaches everything down to the details and why they work that way.
It even has a chapter for human eyes: something not many books have.
I don't mind buying this book instead of borrowing it actually.
But I believe it's gonna be quite expensive haha.
Rather save the money for some other equipments.
Speaking of equipments.
I need to get a better strap.
Seriously need to.
During the last DSLR course,
my D7000 dropped onto the floor coz the strap slid off.
Maybe Monday since we're going to Lower Pierce,
can drop by MS Color and get a quick-release strap ;)
I actually want the clip function more than the quick release.
That way I can tie it tight on the camera and not spend too much time taking it off at home.

OK just tracked the location of MS Colour.
Gonna stop by there also for Pratik to check out some of their stuff.
Hopefully I can find a DSLR strap there.
Really don't wanna damage my D7000 anymore.
Something already happened to the strap attachment.
Gonna get a plier one day and try to twist it back.
If cannot work then need send to Nikon Service Centre le.
Never thought there'll be a day when I need to send my stuff to NSC.

Today went out with Ashriel haha.
Was supposed to meet at 1pm.
At first was raining heavily,
but lucky in the end it stopped.
Went to the MRT station and waited for his MRT to come.
Then arranged to meet at the front of the MRT.

We didn't really knew how to get there actually.
Just searched on Google Maps and tried making out the way.
Took MRT to Yio Chu Kang,
then took bus 70.
It said 15mins, 15 stops.
That's like 1min 1 stop on average.
Sounded too unrealistic.
But when you board the bus,
it really is 1min 1 stop.
And on the bus is a girl that resembled Faith Yim a lot~~~
I think it might actually be her.
But she doesn't knows me anyway so I didn't confirm.
Then Ashriel and I chatted on the bus.
Got carried away.
We actually forgot to keep a lookout for the number of stops that has passed.
Kept looking out for the church.
Then saw this word "church of St"
And I thought,
"Along the road there's another church right? Is this the one we're supposed to alight at? Haiz nvm if it's not then at the most climb on board again"
So hit the bell.
When the bus was stopping,
Ashriel scanned his card.
I scanned mine on my side.
It was still locked ~.~
I looked over to Ashriel's side and it's on,
so I reached for it.
The moment my wallet touches the scanner,
it locked again -.-
Why bus driver?
Don't like me arh?
Haha just kidding.

After getting off,
I looked around the area.
I expected to see clear forest opposite the church.
And I expected to be able to say "You call this a church?".
But no.
The church looks quite above-average in terms of build.
And opposite it is construction site.
Looks like the usual urban area you see.

Crossed the canal and went straight in.
Didn't take too much effort to find the kampong.
It's got quite a nice feel.
Very very quiet.
Can't even hear the sound of the huge motor running in the construction site.
Quite humid too but not hot.
Mosquitoes all over.
Indeed,
all the doors aren't locked.
When we went past one of the houses,
a dog stood up and an auntie came out to calm it down.
It gives the feeling when you enter a quiet village and everyone just shuts their door at the sight of outsiders.
Ashriel said it feels like his home in Philippines haha.
Didn't get any good shots there.
More of went there to enjoy the feel of being in a kampong.
They even rear chickens there.

Took bus 70 again to Serangoon MRT station.
Thought we overshot coz we got too carried away.
So much so that I forgot the station is underground.
Kept keeping a lookout for MRT tracks.
Got off at the last second haha.
From there we took the MRT to Harbourfront.
And since we're there we just stopped by Vivo City's rooftop garden.
Didn't capture anything there.
Just went to check out.
Crossed over opposite to board bus 30 to the railway station.
Saw railway tracks so we got off the bus.
But actually it's one stop after XD
NVM just a short walk anyway.

Went in there with our cameras out.
Was afraid it might be illegal.
So went back out again and saw a guy coming at us with a Canon.
He looked quite pro so we suppose he knows the rules there.
Right after we walked past him we turned around and see if anything happens to him XD
He just snapped away without caring.
Went into the platform and snapped 2 shots before the train came.
Lucky for us haha.
It just slowly came in and parked a good distance from us.
Everyone saw the train coming and rushed over to snap photos.
Snapped for quite some time then left.
While we were there,
a mom and a son even went down the tracks and crossed over to the other side.

Took bus 131 to... Victoria Concert Hall.
Also thought we overshot due to you guessed it,
getting carried away.
Dropped by at Peninsula Plaza to visit Cathay Photo.
There are actually more cameras and lenses displayed at the glass shelves than in Funan.
Stayed there for quite some time to feast our eyes on the lenses and bodies.
Didn't manage to see the 24-70mm though.
Even saw some underwater housings.
They look like toys XD
Bought my ML-L3 remote controller from there for $18.
It's actually much smaller than I had expected haha.
I was expecting something that fits onto my palm.
But no.
It was just a small remote which I can hold with 3 fingers.
One of the shelves showed the D3100, D7000, D5000 and D3s.
I suddenly felt that my camera is so darn small.

Went over to Funan.
The first floor didn't looked so Funan.
All the electronics only begins at the second storey.
Ashriel kept changing the wallpaper on the iPads to Angry German Kid.
Then went into John 3:16 to show Ashriel the guy who always says "Eh brother"
Saw an interesting thumdrive there.
Too bad not for sale de.
It's a mini Canon DSLR.
But the connection between the lens and the body is a USB.
The guy told us "Brother that one not for sale. Is someone bought for us in China. There sell very cheap only. Around $10. But only like 4GB or so"
Then we see finish le walk away
"You heard him."
"Yeah my ears hurt."

Went up to Challenger to take a look.
Ashriel kept playing with the fully touchscreen Windows PCs.
Had to drag him away >.>
Reached the spot where I bought my D7000.
The salesmen today seemed really... lazy.
Didn't really care much about them.
Continued going.8k
But then went back again while Ashriel is checking some stuff out to ask if they have a 67mm Polarizer.
When I just got there,
the 2 salesmen were chatting at first.
When they saw me both of them went back to their stations and leaned against the benches,
facing away.
I ask if they have a 67mm Circular Polarizer.
The guy ask the one on the other side to serve me >.>
He say only got Tokina,
$55.
I thought like siao sia.
Only got Tokina to choose.
So I heck care just see see then walk away le.

Went back down to John 3:16 to get the polarizer.
They were way too busy.
A few caucasian guys came and one wanted to buy a D3s.
Everyone in the room turned to focus on them sia.
He's coming to buy a camera that costs like 7k.
The guy serving him was so dam careful when opening the box.

At first just gave up buying the filter.
But then we came across Alanphoto.
So went in and tried my luck.
Really have sia~
Somemore much more than Challenger.
Maybe when I was buying the D7000 I just happened to meet a serious salesman.
At first the lady (actually woman le XD) showed me a Hoya.
The price was way out of my range so I asked for something cheaper.
Then she handed me something like a DPL.
Somewhere there.
I thought I heard $58.
Then she repeated again.
Chey~~~
$38 only.
So I thought maybe I can go more than that.
Then she passed me a Tokina.
$42.
And Challenger offered me $55 -.-
Took the Tokina in the end.
She opened it up for me to check,
so I pulled out my D7000 with my kit lens to test out.
I twisted the circular ring like mad XDDD
Was so embarrassing la~~~
Feels so bad somemore.
I bought a remote controller and a polarizer,
but Ashriel bought nothing.

Ate mac then took the MRT home.
Took the wrong side at Clark Quay station -.-
It's like the boards were switched over.
I remembered quite clearly that the board which shows Punggol is on Harbourfront's side.

Tomorrow morning wake up test my polarizer.
Hopefully it works well.
Didn't had the time today as it was already late.

What to say...

Didn't post yesterday night coz I was too sleepy.

Didn't felt like posting anyway.

Don't feel like posting now either.

But NVM I'll just do...

2 weeks of ASP is finally over.

Nowadays in school everything's a part of the ASP programme.

It's like the perfect excuse for the school to say that it is compulsory.

Why can't they just say it's normal lessons?

A change of mindset in the students will result to better reaction right?

Everyone's complaining that there's ASP programme now.

If they had just placed it in the timetable then they would just take it as normal lessons.

Really hate the way the school is right now actually.

But which upper secondary student doesn't?

Things were way better back in the days when Cordeiro was in charge,

though nowhere near good either.

Last year anyway.

Just bear with it for a few more months and I'll get to start work.

Going out with Ashriel on Monday.

Gonna visit Buangkok Kampong and Tanjong Pagar KTM railway station.

Both for photographic purposes.

After that maybe go Funan alone.

Need to buy remote controller and at the same time look at some filters.

Also gonna ask to test out the SB-700 flash.

Haha probably gonna end up shopping alone again.

Might be quite harsh in the kampong.

The houses are still guarded by dogs and snakes are quite frequent.

They say the dogs warn them of snakes.

And the landlady even reported seeing a black king cobra once.

To think that they still have that in the woods of Singapore.

But of course,

I have no intentions of meeting a king cobra.

Hopefully we'll get some satisfying shots.

But before we talk about good shots,

pray that there isn't any sudden canceling of plans.

Really gotta step out of house to work on my portfolio.

It's exactly 4 more weeks till the registration for DPA.

I'm still very worried about DPA actually.

Oh ya new episode of X-men anime is out.

Haven't watched it yet.

The story's a bit different from the one in X-men First Class.

In the anime Emma Frost got her secondary mutation when protecting Hisako.

That time she already left the Inner Circle.

But in X-men First Class,

Mastermind got killed by Magneto,

and Emma Frost already had her secondary mutation when she's still working with Mastermind.

Or is that Mastermind?

I'm not very good in these Marvel Universe stuff.

Nonetheless the anime series is quite up to the original X-men standards.

But I never knew the Marvel Universe also includes other realms Asgard and the planet of the Frost Giants.

Always thought it was all some science stuff.

Nothing much else...

MB had the first training session today.
We didn't had any of this when we were in lower sec.
Had to learn everything myself...

Then Wednesday.
Outing was rescheduled to Wednesday though.

So much nonsense these few days.
Well at least not all.

and I have D&T camp on that day.
Ms Low didn't let anyone know that the outing was rescheduled though.
So it just means that those with their own DSLRs won't bring the extra equipments.
And she plans to go to the Singapore Zoo?
Botanical garden?
Really?
You're gonna lead a group of like 20 students into the botanical garden and scare the insects away?
Or maybe the insects will scare the girls away first.
What about the rare species of birds there?
Such a huge crowd will definitely force the birds to move their nests.

Being in sec 4 is really such a pain.
School starts throwing you all sorts of crap.
No ambition.

Just wanna get O levels done with fast and move to poly.
Why are there no photography courses for poly anyway?

Sien there's school tomorrow.
But thanks to the O level Mother Tongue paper,
I don't have to be there until 1pm.
So since I don't have to be there until 1pm,
I'll be waking up at 11am.
Since I'm waking up at 11.30am,
I can afford to sleep at 3.30am.
But of course I don't intend to sleep at 3.30am.
Maybe 2am or 2.30am would be fine.

I forgot to mention this yesterday.
When APEx Day just started and I'm entering the hockey pitch with Ashriel and Aide,
Mr Orange Juice,
I mean,
Mr Alwin Njoo,
came to me and called me over.
Then he showed me this form,
stating that I have to attend this photo session on 2nd and 6th June.
I'm not gonna take photos though.
I'm gonna have my photo taken ~.~
And it'll be one of the banners hung up at the hall.
On my banner will be 4 students.
Me, Eunice and another 2 students,
one guy one girl I think.
It's just plain crappy.
They already signed me onto it without my permission.
Take photo and hang it up in the hall,
nvm.
Just don't hang it up until I graduate >.>
But that's just impossible.
I myself am a photographer so I know it won't take half a year.
But seriously,
at least get my consent first~~~
And even if you do try to get my consent,
I still won't agree to it,
so no point trying.

Yesterday was APEx Day.
Went to school and took around 900 photos XD
Had 2 8GB cards and 6FPS anyway so I wasn't so generous.
Went to the back of the hall during morning assembly to meet.
Then everyone here except Xinyu and Shuqin.
So I was like "I'll go get them here"
Then I went to the side of the hall and fired my repeating flash in Bulb mode XD
New way of alerting the members and everyone else in the hall haha.

I stand there take photos for 1 round of the teachers' game already burning.
Plus my tripod handle got soften a little,
and when coupled with regular twisting,
part of it came off XD
It's a cheap tripod for giveaway anyway,
so I don't really mind.
Wanna go test out a carbon fibre tripod one day and see how light it really is.
OK anyway,
before the teachers' game we had some fun moving around.
Jaryl and Ashriel would follow behind a teacher with their DSLRs,
then I'll fire my repeating flash to give a paparazzi effect.

After APEx Day went to Mac's with Ashriel.
Was supposed to meet up with Arifah and JJ then go there together.
But we took too long transferring the photos so we went there ourselves.
Only reached at around 1pm haha.

At Mac eat,
chat chat...
Then Aide came.
JJ left after that.
Menon went to see Arifah to the bus stop while the 3 of us go to the 4th floor.
Then Menon joined us after Arifah's up the bus.
And we just sat there chatting on and on for some time.
Menon telling Aide the stories he used to tell me.
About how TWSS used to be and stuff.
And also about the ghost stories he encountered.
Ashriel was just reading the Scott Kelby's book I lent him.
Once again stuck to the texts.

Went back down Mac again coz Menon complained it was way too hot.
Continued chatting...
Got Blackforest McFlurry.
It tasted better than that time I ate it at Yew Tee.
After the one at Yew Tee I never wanted to try it again.
But the one in Teck Whye was quite alright.
Still,
I prefer the Oreo one.

Went Canal after Mac.
Shot around the forested area.
Just the outer parts of it.
I wonder how the people cross that forest daily after work man.
That time it was so full of grasshoppers and crickets.
Aide actually managed to get quite close even though he's using a 18-55mm.
Maybe next time macro I should use my 18-105 instead.

Aide and Ashriel chatted with Menon at the bridge.
I went to the other side of the canal,
which is the park connector,
hoping to find some butterflies and bees.
Well I did get some good shots.

A bird feeding on the pollens in a flower.
Or so I think XD Help needed to identify species

Identified to be a Monarch butterfly, but I think it's lacking the black stripes that the Monarch has, so in need of further help identifying.

Was too near the dragonfly with a 55-200mm f/4-5.6G, plus the grass were rich in crickets that day, so I wanted to avoid stepping on any. Resorted to leaning back slightly.

PS. If you're too close to a subject, you can't focus on it. Different lenses have different minimum focusing distance.

Well after that Aide had to run off or PTC session.
He's covering the event haha.
But seriously.
In PTC,
there isn't much to cover except hours of the principal talking.

Alright it's nearly 3am.
Tomorrow afternoon probably going to the railway track with Ashriel.
Will meet up outside school or somewhere near.
Then go canal,
walk and snap macros until we reach the track,
then after the track we'll try our luck at some shophouses around the track.

Okay tonight will be rather special.
And besides,
I haven't blogged in the midnight for some time I think.
Let's just start with the picture for the night.

Haha yeah my spec's frame snapped.

I'm mainly typing with my familiarity with the keyboard now.

And also coupled with my instincts.

It's like after school and I was just using the computer,

then suddenly I thought something fell from above and hit my specs.

But I realised my left vision is blurred,

so I looked down,

only to find one of my lens on the floor,

and the frames also snapped off.

It's not that a certain joint loosened.

The welded metal just couldn't hold on to each other anymore.

Anyway I decided to change to contact lenses when I hit poly,

so seems like it's gonna be earlier than expected now.

Have to keep shrinking my eyes.

Can't believe I'm doing it either,

but I'm using the magnifier tool on my laptop ~.~

Even at 2x I still have to shrink my eyes.

See first la maybe wear contacts maybe continue wearing specs.

Wednesday at first finally can go out shooting with Ashriel de...

Turns out D&T in the way again.

But now that I've broke my specs...

Or rather the specs broke itself,

I'm not sure if I'll be allowed into the lab anyway.

I've asked Mrs Ong about it,

and she didn't have a problem with it.

But even if she doesn't,

Today D&T idea finally accepted haha.

But it's more like make-do than accepting la.

My idea is like plain crap.

I'm actually considering studying hard for my humanities instead to replace the marks from my D&T...

It might be a better choice actually.

I haven't been studying my geography since sec 3,

so it's time to get serious about it.

Social studies I always thought it was like free writing.

But guess not.

I used to write a whole page for just that 1 SBQ.

Guess I was wrong...

It's all mechanical.

Just memorise the format then throw in all the quotes and stuff.

Will consider that...

I already lost faith in D&T anyway.

Funny eh.

Used to be my favourite subject.

Tried listening to an anime just now.

Listening as in I play the video,

but switch the tabs to elsewhere.

It really sounded like nothing more than voices haha.

Without the visuals it's not as epic as they actually were.

Okay this part's just a short one haha.

I just realised what's wrong with the ring flash.

The flash enters the ring from the back.

That means it's gonna be quite tough reflecting all the light onto the dish.

There's one way I learned from Scott Kelby's photography book 3 though.

Let the flashlight enter the ring from the top.

There's a page where he talked about one of his friends having this "toy" that turns a normal speedlight into a ring flash.

I studied the toy and found the right way to do it.

Hopefully it's successful.

If nothing goes wrong,

then I will probably be making it tomorrow.

Speaking of books,

I'm still borrowing books from the library.

Got one of Tom Ang's Masterclass to occupy my time during these long holidays.

But recently no mood to read.

Scott Kelby's volume 3 is meant to be read during my A maths lessons.

Hot Shoe diaries left with a few pages only.

But journals aren't really my type,

so I guess I'll be returning it soon.

2 of the most wanted books are in my hands XD

Feel like borrowing The Best Camera too,

but it's not available in the CCK library.

Have to go find it when I go to other malls.

Inside that book is full of photos taken by iPhone.

iPhone camera is quite powerful actually.

Only photographers will know that.

It's considered one of the cameras which rivals a DSLR.

Just its ability to focus and meter on any spot is cool enough.

The shutter speed is also usually good for normal streets.

The instant preview function for its metering is also way too accurate.

Plus iPhone being iPhone,

it's always updated with new applications and stuffs.

So when someone comes up with a new idea for the camera and only requires the software,

it's gonna be another update.

Quite scary eh.

Then there's also mirrorless.

Blog until forget see the time le.

Not sure if I've mentioned this before.

I intend to get a speedlight next.

Made up my mind already.

Getting a speedlight is not just about getting a better flash.

Few days back,

I read somewhere on ClubSnap that the remote control for my D7000 only costs S$16.

Today I brought my own S$16 to the Harvey Norman or Courts in Lot One.

Not sure which is it.

All I need to know is that it sells electronics.

Anyway back to remote weapons.

I mean remote controls.

I couldn't find one there.

Just looked around the Nikon section.

Waited there for some time but there was just no one there to serve -.-

NVM when there's time I'll try and find it in other malls.

I'm making a to-do list again haha.

Genius my phone only used up half of its battery.

It's been 22 hours since the last full charge.

Usually by this time it should only have around 20% remaining haha.

OK now I have nothing to say again.

What am I gonna do these few days without my specs...?

I guess I'll be fine without it.

I guess.

But it doesn't feels right without something resting on my nose and hooking onto my ears already.

Oh ya I have to charge my DSLR battery...

HoTomorrow's polling day haha XD
It's got nothing much to do with me,
but I'm still quite eager to see what will turn out from these few weeks of competition.
This year there's a lot of opposition parties fighting for the land.
And it's the first time I paid attention to the polling.
I realised the parties are quite amusing.

5 years back Lee Kuan Yew brought his men to fight for Hou Kang.
He dared the Workers' Party's leader to compete with his PAP area next time.
Now the leader really bring his men go Aljunied
"You say one arh~ I'm really here now. Don't regret hor~"

Nicole Seah from NSP is quite famous too right?
During one of the rallies,
PM Lee apologise to public that the governors are also humans who make mistakes.

but coz I have no intention of staying in NS for 2 years.

NS will only last for 15 months.

and only able to come out and do what I'd like to do after NS?
Hopefully by my time don't even need to serve NS anymore.

Monday's a holiday (yes, again) due to the elections.
For the past weeks I've noticed that when I only stay up late for 2 nights,
the days seem to pass by very quickly.
So now I'm gonna stay up all 3 nights.
Enjoy my night life~
But recently at night also noting much to do la.
Maybe tomorrow I'm gonna rebuild the DIY Popup Ring Flash.
Don't ask if I've got nothing better to do,
coz you got it right.
I'm bored.

Strange.
My air-conditioning hasn't been performing as well recently.
My laptop's overheating quite easily.
Maybe the filter hasn't been cleaned for some time.

I seriously wish for my O levels to end fast.
Provided in the end I get into Visual Comm. la~
I don't wanna get in through JAE.
I wanna get in through DPA.
JAE is backup plan.
I kinda pity those younger than me now.
I see the primary school kids,
I'll think "Haiz... Pity them. Still got so many years until secondary education ends"
I just wanna go for tertiary education.
They're so much better than studying everything in school.
But well sadly for some,
they still don't know which course they wanna go to haha.
Anyway at the end of the day it'll work out la~

Okay I finally have the chance to be up late in the night again.
This week seemed to pass by quite fast,
but it seemed like ages since I last stayed up late.

Well...
HoD of Science Mr Alwin Njoo has a new nickname.
A week ago Mrs Vena Foo mispronounced his name as all-win joo.
Then the class misinterpreted it as orange juice XD

TWSS is really screwing up.
Even Mdm Mary would also make a better principal.
I'm trying to imagine what would happen if Mr Ralph became principal of TWSS instead...

Okay maybe a bit exaggerated,

the principal of Singapore Sports School isn't anywhere near athletic anyway.
I know I'm not,
but just because I'm not doesn't means I can't criticize others about it right?
I really don't get what's the mindset nowadays.

Got the game GMod from Ashriel 2 days back.
I just like the fact that you can build your own equipments there XD
I made the airboat prop fly ^^
At first it's only able to run on land and water surface,
but with a few thrusters and some heavy adjustments,
I was able to make the airboat fly.
Then with a little more thrusters and more heavy adjustments,
I made it possible for the airboat to hover in mid air ^^
It's quite simple actually.
The clockwise and anti-clockwise moment when it flies must be balanced,
and to make it hover,
make sure the equations end up as uplift = downwards thrust + gravitational pull
It's still quite unstable when it's flying forward though.
Gonna have to fix that when I feel like it.
Don't have any turrets for it too so it's not gonna work out in the tournament as of now.
Whatever~
I'm just building it for fun anyway

Still quite early.
I slept for like 4 hours in the afternoon so I'm only yawning.
But usually I only yawn when I'm bored.
Yeah, of course I am.
How I wish it's back to last year June.
Wanrou really made my life so interesting XD
Anyway now I think I have new stalkers.
Yesterday while I was going out of school after school hours,
2 girls waited at the school gate until I walked past them,
then they followed behind me.
Overheard them talking about "DSLR bag at the side",
which is what I have at that time.
No choice~
If I stuff it inside my bag then it's gonna be really heavy.
Can't carry it that way for too long if not my shoulder will ache.
Anyway thanks to them,
I realised that sometimes when I go back home when lessons for the school as a whole just ended,
2 girls will usually be standing at the side of the gate.
I'm not sure if they always follow behind after I walk past them,
but one thing for sure is there's a high chance they're up to something.
Don't tell me they were doing something there until I came.
I don't believe that I'll be their main topic so suddenly.
Don't know whether I should be happy or not -.-

Enjoying the feeling of my fingers sliding along the keyboard again.
Feels really good sometimes.
Laptop keyboard is so much easier to type on compared to the USB keyboards.

This few weeks are just great.
There's Good Friday, Labour Day, Polling Day and Vesak Day.
The first 3 already cause a Friday or Monday to be school holiday each.
Good Friday no school,
but Friday is only until 12.30pm so I don't mind going for school on that day.
Monday is until 5pm,
so I'll be more than willing to avoid it.
If I'm not wrong though,
Vesak Day doesn't causes a holiday on Monday or Friday.
And besides,
it felt like such a long time since there was a holiday in the middle of the week.
This few months it's been 3 days straight.

It's so boring with nowhere to go nowadays.
I wanna go out to snap photos,
and also check out some of the equipments.
Places with shop houses would be nice.
There's a street near Aljunied MRT station that has what I'm looking for.
And also wanna go to places like Bukit Timah Hill for their enormous spiders.
Some places with lots of species of birds would be nice too.
Definitely not the bird park,
of course.

Still don't feel like sleeping.
But what can I do?

My lightbox isn't completed yet haha.
Not sure when will I be finishing it.
Now I'm more focused on simple projects.
Haven't recreated the ring flash either.
Very tempted to use the cardboard supplied by the school for D&T.
Not gonna need much of it anyway.
Then wrap one side with aluminum foil,
fold it up,
fix it onto the disposable dish,
and it's ready to go~

Oh ya I haven't been reading my Hot Shoe Diaries lately haha.
Gonna search the websites for some photography videos before I start reading it again.
Let me get my DSLR out of my dry box first,
and why's the air-conditioning so warm all of a sudden?

Now there's another thing I can't figure out about DSLR crop factor...
If I mount a 50mm FX lens on a FX body,
the result would be a 50mm focal length.
But if I mount it on a DX body,
it'll be 75mm FX focal length due to the 1.6x crop factor.
But how can I test out this 75mm FX on a DX body with DX lens?
Is it still 75mm on the DX lens?
Or is it 50mm?
Haiz nvm I'll just go to a shop,
test out a 50mm f/1.8D and I'll find out.

Preparing some photos from the VJC Canon Expose now.
Haven't uploaded the photos we took with the telephoto lenses.

We literally stole all the slots there at the start.
Everyone was so busy queuing up for the goodie bags,
so Ashriel, Jazli, Ashwin and I made use of the chance.
We only took our goodie bags after trying them out,
and that was only coz we happened to walk past.

Tonight's the last night already.
Gonna miss all the fun at night haha.
I don't know why it's fun,
but I just like the feel of it.
Come to think of it,
I'm only blogging coz I like typing on the keyboard and hearing all the sounds of my fingers running along the keys.
But it's okay.
That alone would keep me motivated to continue blogging.
Never thought of giving up.

OK let's start with serious business first.
Not really serious acctually.
You see...
I've already completed the first draft for the DIY Popup Ring Flash XP
It's just a small draft that's made of paper so it's falling off here and there.
Let's just have the photos up first before I talk more about it.

Mounted with the modelling flash off.

Modelling flash on.
The real-life image has a harsh spot at the top, where the light reaches the ring.

Side view.
The top part is sealed off with aluminum foil.
The aluminum foil will bounce the light in every direction until the light escapes from either the bottom (a mistake on my part) or the front.

Sample with ring flash on.

Sample with ring flash off. Settings are the exact same as with the ring flash on.

When I feel like it I'm gonna make one with cardboard instead of paper.
Also won't be making the same mistakes I made for this one.
Probably gonna come with a "belt" that ties around the zoom belt so that it doesn't falls off easily.
Also definitely gonna use a smaller dish heheh.
The aluminum foil I use for the second version will be in one piece to avoid light leakage.

Second night up late~
I'm sure I'll be able to sleep on Sunday night,
as demonstrated tonight.
Fell asleep at 11pm and only woke up at 4am >.>

Nothing much to do tonight.
Oh ya I made a popup flash diffuser for my D7000

The basic layout drawn onto paper, then folded up and joined together with scotch tape or any other acceptable adhesive.

Folded up, cut off 2 strips at the bottom to fit through the hole on the popup flash. also added a T-shape design to grip onto the popup flash.

Mounted onto my D7000. I kinda like how it easily stays on the DSLR, and how the T-shaped grip prevents it from falling off even if I told the D7000 vertically. The thing I like most about its build is that I can shake the camera all around, but it just won't fall off.

Mounted and lighted up with modelling flash. Ignore my hand. Had to have it there to turn on the modelling flash. I'm not that fast you know -.-

Overall it works quite well. Doesn't costs much either. Quite stable, but not very sturdy since it's made of plain paper. Might be making one with drawing board soon. Doesn't requires anything else other than the paper and adhesive. I also like the way it mounts and lights up on the DSLR. Looks kinda like it's an official accessory that comes with the DSLR. Might be bringing it to school during events, or even better, draw it out at home on a piece of A4 paper, then bring it to school to fold it up. I bring stick glue and scissors to school every day anyway.

OK enough of showing off my new project =D
It's already 6.10am and I'm still awake.
During holidays,
4 hours of sleep is enough for me.
Not to mention falling asleep in the following afternoon of course =X

Was expecting something better.

If only I read the questions on the last section -.-
I just filled in the answer based on the words I've learned that term.
One of the questions I gave a funny answer that no one should've got if they read the question.
But Zun Hung, Rachel and I got completely owned by it XD

Rachel passed her CLB.
I guess she really should've sat in front from the start.
On the contrary,
Zun Hung failed.
He got 18/40 if I'm not wrong.
Almost passed >.>
Another one who fell to the last section.
I don't really like the new table.
They kinda restrict our movements compared to the tables last time.
Might just request for them to be moved further upfront on Monday.

My Mom's friend woke up already.
She's always at my house,
since she likes coming quite a lot.

More like once every fortnight when my Dad goes for night shift,
or when she stayed too late and got lazy to go home.
I like it in the sense that there's more people in the house.
But again,
when she's staying over during weekends,
I don't really have the freedom I long for every night.
She sleeps in the living room.
I do like how I always come up with a pasta recipe and she'll do the practical work though.

Just realised I've been getting into studio photography lately.
Also started doing DIY projects again.
The designs for the blackout "curtains" aren't even out yet.
Not sure how to go about doing it.
And the second lightbox isn't completed either.
Lazy to do heheh.
The purple frames might be troubling.
If they are then at most I'll just coat black duct tape or construction paper over it.
Paint would be fine too,
but I'm not really good with paint so it'll be an alternative.
Duct tape might reflect the light in the box,
spoiling the lightings within.
But construction paper must be thick enough to completely block off external light sources.
And thick construction paper also means they cost more.
So in terms of cost and durability,
maybe black paint is more suitable.
Will go to Popular or Art Friends to check it out.
Probably Art Friends since I need to go to Kino too.
Wanna look at some photography books.
But again,
if I can I'd rather borrow them from the library.
One photography book by Scott Kelby costs S$39.
And one volume of Hot Shoe Diaries by Joe Macnally costs S$60+.
Too bad library only has Scott Kelby's books.

I'm gonna make a ring flash that works with the popup flash XD
Ring flashes usually cost quite a bit you know.
But with cardboard and aluminum foil,
I'm gonna make one that's just as good.
The construction is the problem though.
I'll need some ways to spread the light out equally.
Plus after being reflected so many times,
even at full power I doubt the light will be anywhere near the original brightness...

OK anyway it's already 7.30pm.
Gonna work on a paper model for the ring flash first.
If the paper model works out then there's no point investing on cardboard.

Didn't spend much time in my studio tonight.
Gonna upload the photos later on Facebook.
I didn't realise that my flash had repeating flash until during the CIP.
Will be making good use of it from now onwardds :)

Oops I forgot to make a pop-up flash diffuser.
It's actually made with a cigarette box,
but since I can't buy cigarettes,
not that I want to,
I'll make the box myself ^^

Still have no idea how to go about making the blackout curtains.
Need something black so it doesn't reflects any light.
Can act as a backdrop too.
But must be detachable...
It's like my studio's only functional at night -.-
In the day if I were to pump the Aperture to f/32,
the focal length would be too high for me to capture anything.

Not sure what time I'm gonna go sleep at later heheh.
It's only the first day and I already complicated my sleep hours.

Miss the big spiders there.

I'm actually more interested in macros and close-ups rather than telephoto.

telephoto and super telephoto's great.
I've tested the various Canon telephotos in VJC recently.
I have to admit they feel real good.
But carrying 10kg out just isn't my type.
And that's only the lens, tripod and body.
Still have to consider the backpack and stuff.

Finally sold my Nikon D60.
Aide came over to my house to retrieve it just now.
Paid me S$200,
then next month pay another S$250.
At least I'm selling to someone I know :)
By the time he wants to change,
I probably would've earned enough to buy it back.
See first la.
I don't mind buying it so that I still have my first with me.
Or maybe I'll buy something like D3100 or D5100 as a spare.

There's quite a number of stuff I wanna buy now heheh.
An SB-700 flash,
prime lens,
backpack,
dry cabinet
and recently I got kinda interested in books.
Gonna go to Kino one day and get a book on photography.
Probably gonna get one of the more well-known ones first.
Then there's this photo book by this photographer.
It's just a random photo book from the outside,
but the photos featured inside are actually all taken by iPhone XD
Maybe gonna head down tomorrow or this Sunday.
Had been having that temptation since yesterday.

Tomorrow going for a Canon event at VJC.
There'll be Canon DSLRs for the visitors to try out.
There'll also be a free piece of A4 photo paper provided.
Can be used to test out the Pixma printers there.
Already prepared my SD card with the photos I want to print there XD
The one I'm more interested in is actually the talks.
Hopefully I'll find something useful from it,
coz photography is basically all the same few things >.>

My D7000's set up on a tripod beside my bed.
Gonna do light painting now.
Maybe a bow and arrow for a first...

OK I'm done. Ended up painting energy blasts (again) and energy orb instead.

Just a nicer way of saying I failed at it la XD

Every time I breathe in,
the pain would come.

And I slept for around an hour or two in the afternoon.

One of the cars at the carpark kept sounding.
The siren was going off.
Usually when it does,
the owner would know it's his car and would go switch it off.
But this time the owner didn't come.
It was sounding from the afternoon all the way till at night.
It only stopped at around 9-10pm.
I can't believe I'm saying this,
but can one of the aunties around the area go complain about that car?
Its siren is always going off.
Not just today.
Today is just one of the worse cases.

Nearly 4pm le OMG.
You know what?
I really miss the December holidays.
It's like every day I can stay up late like this.
Hope O levels faster over.
Then can play all I want until my PPP starts.
Well, if I even get through the DPA, that is.

The computer generated reply states that it needs roughly 5 working days.
I guess it's time to go check it out.

Hmm...
Went outing with Ashriel and Aide today (yesterday).
Went to Mac for lunch with Ashriel, Aide, JJ and Menon.
I lent Ashriel the notes on Fundamental Photography that Mr Mus gave me.
Throughout half the lunch he was just there reading it.
He didn't even know what we were laughing about.
It's like completely oblivious to his surroundings.
After that put up at Ashriel's house for a break.
Was just meant to unload some stuff and take a look at his items.
But his items were all so cool that we ended up staying for quite some time haha.

Took a look at his custom computer.
Looks quite like a normal computer.
But if you look carefully,
his mouse is a gamer's mouse which costs around $160,
there's a sound system by Altec Lansing,
a tablet for drawing in photoshop,
a rather expensive headset,
2 hard drives,
7 USB ports at the back of the CPU,
and his CPU is custom-made so it's really powerful.
For the sake of the general public,
when you make a custom PC,
it means you buy different parts and fix them together in the CPU casing yourself,
rather than buying a whole desktop.
It also means you can choose which parts you wanna have for the CPU.
Usually the price of a custom PC is around half the price of a PC of similar quality.
I'll probably build one too as part of my digital darkroom when I hit poly.
Since my room's gonna be a studio,
then I'll need a digital darkroom too right?

Then there's his dry cabinet.
I thought he was only using a dry box.
Turns out he's using a digital dry cabinet.
Quite cool too.
30L is enough to store everything actually.
And for some unknown reasons,
I seem to like opening and closing the dry cabinet a lot.
It's digital so it's much easier to control than my...
Haiz put the reheated silica gel inside for around 2 hours le.
Still at 60%.
His is like in just a short while it completely changed.
NVM I'll get one after I get the other equipments.
His old cameras are also quite nice.
There's a film SLR which his FF lenses can still fit into.
He even still has his very first and second personal digital camera.
Not to mention that he hasn't known DSLRs for too long.
Remember?
I passed him my D60 and asked him to select good photos from the memory card,
except all the .NEF files.
That was actually his first time seeing a DSLR >.>
Before that he didn't even knew they existed.

Went out streeting next.
Walked some distance,
then Aide suggested we go to Bukit Panjang Plaza's Harvey Norman.
Can take a look at some equipments there anyway.
They actually have the rare DX 35mm f/1.8G there.
It's like so many people wants it nowadays that it's hard to get one in the stores.
Maybe stores like Challenger, Alanphoto and SLR Revolution don't get much stocks on this la.
But still,
people who wanted to buy that had complained that it took them quite some time to search for it.
Also saw the full frame 50mm f/1.8D there.
Go out streeting a few more times then I decide which one I wanna buy bah.
They also have an SB-700 speedlight there.

After that Aide brought us to a park,
where he walked around with us for around half the park
before going off for his dance session.
He said there's a monkey there who attacks people.
We didn't had the chance to see it,
though I was also kinda glad we didn't.
It's probably gonna steal away our cameras.
Well we did see a bright blue coloured bird.
Ashriel managed to catch a silhouette of it.
I didn't even manage to catch it >.>
Not in time to take out my 55-200mm.
There was also a lizard.
Or something like a lizard.
Orange colour that's shaped like a lizard.

After that had a really bad neck and shoulder ache.
I'm carrying 2 DSLRs after all.
So put up at Ashriel's house until 6.15 when I wanted to leave,
but stayed on coz there was something there that interests me
so ended up going off at 6.45pm instead.
Couldn't go off at 6.30pm coz that's when the school closes.
If the school closes it means the D&T teachers have to close down the Citech at that time.
So if I go off at 6.30 I'll probably run into one of them.
They'll be furious if they know that I went for a photography session instead of their consultation session.

Actually I've kinda made up my mind.
I should really get a better camera bag first before I get other stuff.
Besides,
my father told me to look around for backpacks.
So I suppose he's gonna pay for it LOL.
Bags have been giving me a lot of troubles every time I went out for sessions.
Carry the small bag and the equipments will suffer.
Carry the small bag then I'll be left with no space for my wallet, water bottle, umbrella and stuff.
Really should get a backpack.
I'll probably head down to Funan or Sim Lim this weekend
to take a look at the camera backpacks they have there.

For some reasons I'm typing quite fast on my laptop keyboard now.
Not sure why either.
Maybe usually when I type I'll lift my finger up and press the next key,
but this time I'm just sliding my fingers around the keybaord.
Laptop keyboard after all.
Brought my laptop into my room again.

Don't know when I'm gonna complete that light tent.
Seeing Ashriel's collection of cool equipments really make me wanna work harder.
He's got all the money he needs to buy all these equipments -.-
They're not really nice stuff actually.
It's just that they're the stuff I've been aiming for,
that's why they all seem so nice to me.
But a week or so after I get it,
I'll probably get bored of it.

Blogging now coz I just have nothing better to do.
Also feel like spamming my keyboard.

Had PE today.
Did shutter run and chin-up NAPFA test.
I thought I'll get 11+ for shutter run.
Turned out I got 10.9.
Good enough le haha.
Usually I'll get 11+ if nothing goes wrong.
But today at the very start I tripped slightly.
Then at the last stretch my left leg struck my right.
Until now still painful under the knees >.>
And chin-up was great too.
Finally managed to do 1 pull >.>
Probably the results of holding a DSLR every weekend XD
Almost got the second one but stuck halfway.

I don't like how Singapore is getting so urbanized.
They should at least keep some places old so that people can visit them.
A kampong in Singapore would be really cool to have.
They have so much space in Old Choa Chu Kang Road already.
But they probably don't wanna use it since it's military area.

There's like a factory's worth of land between every camp.

Today Mean Girl (nickname) kena scolded by Mrs Vena Foo.

During our 1.30pm break,
she was sitting at the newspaper recycling corner,
talking on the phone,
most likely complaining to her relatives or friends.
Giraffe (fake name) pretend go out,
but camp at the window there listen to what she saying.
I wanted to throw my newspaper there when she sat down.
Then while walking there,
I told myself I have 4 choices.

1) Throw the newspaper later
2) Ask her to move away politely
3) Put it beside her
4) "Eh here newspaper recycling corner leh. You ignore me then I'll just treat it as you're a newspaper" then throw the newspaper on top of her.

But nah in the end I just placed it beside her.
Option 4 is a little too mean XD
She herself never do homework then get scolded is her own fault mah >.>
Still dare give black face.
The other day Mr Aidil scold her she also not happy.

Gotten back into light painting recently.
Might be adding a remote shutter release to my wishlist.
I can really use the remote bulb mode for light painting.
If I feel like it then I'll probably do another one tonight,
or maybe tomorrow night.
But tomorrow night I feel like blogging and surfing the internet through the midnight.
Anyway,

Just yesterday I went for consultation.

so it's down to me and Nicholas.

Sunday Menon and I going to the Istana for a ceremony.
The biological statues stationed outside are gonna be swapped.
They actually have a ceremony for that...
Anyway,
we're gonna be Singaporeans for once.
We'll be camping there from 12pm onwards,
or maybe later,
until around 2pm or 3pm when the ceremony starts.
Before or after that,
I might walk around Orchard's camera shops and look at some lenses.
Gonna buy the 35mm f/1.8G once I have the money.
The next time I get money to spend will probably be after O levels.
I might be working for Jove Pater Media as a camera man or something near.
Part-time only.
On top of that I'll also be covering events for others...
Maybe try selling some photos to magazines...
Product photography for others' shops...

Speaking of product photography,
I haven't completed that huge foldable lightbox yet.
Lazy do the 2 covers.
But by the time I get out to work after O levels,
I should already have completed it.

Today after I ran from D&T,
I went to Ashriel's house to leave my stuff down.
His house's quite nice actually.
It's on the 16th floor so it's quite easy to get a full view of the area.
And he has 2 guinea pigs haha.
The white one just sits there and heck care,
while the brown one runs once I make eye contact with it.
Then just grabbed our DSLRs and went out shooting.
He actually doesn't knows the place anywhere better than I do -.-
We walked for quite a distance,
but hardly took any photos.
We wanted to go to Choa Chu Kang park at first.
But then he said he's saving up his money so we just went around the area.
NVM next time then go Choa Chu Kang park see see.
Hopefully there are still kids playing there.
If not then we'll just take photos of the park itself.

I still can't believe the time to leave MediaBytes is finally here.
Don't feel like leaving at all.
I'll definitely go back to visit even after I've graduated.
Hopefully by that time the club would be much better.

So Jaryl and I were editing videos in the iMac Lab just last Wednesday.
Some students from 4B were also there doing their history project.
Then the 2 of us got bored so we went over to the teacher's iMac
and turned on Apple Remote Desktop.
After that we downloaded a horror photo,
enlarge it on the screen,
and shared our screen with Rina.
Biggest reaction yet XD

Same thing that happened on Wednesday.
Ms Shirley Teo completely disappeared.
We were supposed to have lesson from 2 to 3pm.
But for 55mins she wasn't there.
At the 30th minute or so,
Douglas, Wen Shen, Jia Le, Yong Jie and I saw Mrs Teo from afar.
So we went in and told the class she's here.
Turns out she went down instead >.>
She completely forgot about our lesson
since she was busy talking to Mr Ong about Appreciation Day.
Only came in at 2.55pm to dismiss us,
and that's only after Mr Gilbert called her.

Tomorrow's Appreciation Day.
It'll probably be my last project before I step down from MediaBytes.
Kinda miss the school coverage.
It's much more fun than just sitting there watching the performance.
But man...
I'm down with flu now and it's also causing me headache.
I'm gonna be sick for both ADs.

Watched an anime called Tegami Bachi earlier today.
Nice and simple graphics,
though the story would seem kinda boring.

The DIY Portable Lightbox's nearly complete.
Just left with the cap and base.
I'm taking it easy though.
Feel like making then make.
Don't feel like it then I'll just leave it lying there in my room.
Maybe after making there'll still be some flaws.
Have to make sure that doesn't happens.
If the lightings turns out to be purplish
then I'll have to seal up the borders with tape.

After making the lightbox,
can't decide what to make next.
Probably a blackout curtain.
As for the flexible tripod,
I might just buy the Gorillapod.
After going out on Saturday,
I realised how useful a Gorillapod can be.
No need for much setup,
plus can plant almost anywhere.
I had to fix my DSLR on the rail of a canal that night -.-

Come to think of it,
the D7000 really looks magnificent.
I like that display at the top
which leaves the command dial at the other side.
My D60 didn't had this heheh.
And the dual SD card comes in really useful.
I can shoot like 500 RAW files without switching cards.
But seriously,
I gotta buy better SD cards too heheh.
Class 6 perhaps.
But sometimes class 10 is quite cheap too.
Someone at ClubSnap got a 16GB class 10 at S$40 only.
32GB is at S$80 so it's about the same.
My Kingston 8GB class 4 costed like S$99 >.>
Daylight robbery.
Never buy anything at IT show unless it's highly recommended.

Arh yes IT show.
This year they sold D7000 at original price,
but are giving away 2x8GB card, card reader, tripod, Kata bag, travel bag, 38L (I think) dry cabinet, cleaning kit, hand strap and best of all, a 50mm 1.8D!!!!
The bags and dry cab is already good enough.
There's also an additional 8GB card.
But seriously man.
Free 50mm 1.8D.
It's S$2,299,
I know.
But the lens already costs S$299.
Then the 2 bags add up to maybe S$100?
Additional 8GB class 4 should be around S$50.
Dry cabinet around S$100.
That means S$1,750 when reduced to normal store's quantity.
Should've bought later heheh.
Won't be craving for a 35mm 1.8G now if I had waited.
And probably won't be wanting a better camera bag either.
But it's already done la.
Anyway my offer isn't that bad either.

As for my other stuff,
maybe the prime lens comes right after a new tripod.
No point getting a bag when you have nothing much to store.
DA's Pro Camera Bag has been known too collapse internally due to weight distribution.
The Velcros couldn't hold the body at the top without any support below.
Oh ya~
When I went to Funan to buy my D7000,
I saw some camera bags at Song Brothers resembling the one at DA.
But they have 2 straps instead of just 1.
See see first bah heheh.
Anyway I'm not wanting them so badly.
I more of wanna go out streeting.

Maybe I shouldn't have eaten that macaroni just now.
The taste still inside my mouth.
It was even nicer than the real pasta at the food courts.

I don't know why I can blog about so many things.
Usually people just a short paragraph then post le.
I can type chunks and chunks in one single post.
But my photos always a little only XD
Sometimes when I intend to sleep late,
like now,
I just start up my blogger.
Nothing to post also nevermind.
Just leave it there,
as time passes by things will start forming in my mind.
Then I'll end up posting an entire scripture.

Just brought my laptop into my room.
That bug outside there was plain annoying.
Tried nearly every method to get it to move.
But of course since since I hate bugs,
I didn't use any methods that involves touching it.
It was clinging so tightly onto the fan's pull switch.
Snapped a few photos of it though =D

Today's afternoon sky was really beautiful.
At least after the rain it is.
So of course I snapped some photos of it ;D

Yeah I got bored on the last one heheh.

3.10am now.
Wonder what time I'm gonna sleep.
Yeah I'm still thinking of the macaroni.
Maybe they added a real deal of MSG.
MSG makes the consumer wanna eat more.
Or maybe I just like cheese pastas heheh XD

My room's in such a mess now.
My motivation to blog about this?
I just looked towards my left and noticed the pile of work left on the floor.
Dry box, camera box, cardboard, unfinished DIY Portable Lightbox, mini trash bin, school bag,
My DIY products are all tucked at the top of my shelf.
Both the studio lights, lightbox, reflector,
and very soon the portable lightbox will be leaning against it in a plastic bag.

Chances are I'll do something to the 2 huge white plastic bags too to specially store the portable lightbox.
Got them when I bought the congregated cardboard for the second studio light and portable lightbox.
Probably gonna use both of them to cover up both sides in case it rains.
But even if it rains...
Alright I'll probably mask it up with duct tape.
It'll act as a weather shield for the cardboard.
As for the paper,
I can just buy majong paper anytime and replace them.
Majong papers are quite cheap for their quantity heheh.
Also have to reinforce all the sides of the border.
Straw reinforcements worked well on the smaller borders.
But for the bigger ones they don't really make much of a difference.
Maybe chopsticks will work well.
Just have to make sure they're stuck tightly together.
Don't want to end up having them in hierarchy.

I'll be using black bristol boards for the blackout curtains.
Not sure yet though.
I have a nice way of holding the boards.
But how do I hang it on the window and make sure it stays there properly?
Somemore still have to prevent any light from coming in by the sides.
Lightproof fabric will be useful.
But no point designing this if I can just go buy the lightproof fabric.
They cost a bomb >.>
Muahahaha an idea just struck my mind.
Won't be releasing it so soon since I haven't made it.
For all I know someone out there might be stealing my ideas,
even though they should just be regular ideas >.>

Last Saturday,
was gonna go out with Ashriel to MacRitchie Reservoir Park,
Peck Seah Street and Mount Faber to snap photos.
In the end he last minute cancelled.
Then after I finished bathing,
I thought since he can't come this week,
might as well bring Menon's visit to Old CCK forward.
So 7pm grabbed my stuff and waited outside Lot One.

Took 975 bus at Lot One,
then Menon, Sam and Sathya boarded at the next stop.
I was wondering why the 2 never gave me any feelings that they're photographer.
I only realised when Menon started explaining to them what shutter speed means -.-

Reached Old CCK road and set up the camera at the bus stop.

Well nothing much to say actually.
Basically we just started snapping.
Lazy upload the photos heheh.

Going home that time is like the best =D
Menon's sis come fetch us.
Met her before at STGCC'10.
Sent us to the hawker centre near the CCK bus interchange to buy dinner.
At first I just wanted her to drop me at CCK MRT station.
But since they were so persistent to send me home,
okay lor ^^
Turned towards the highway and realised she took the wrong shortcut >.>
Reached Ten Mile Junction instead.
LOL then I made her send me all the way into the estates.

Go home...
The dinner was quite nice.
Would've been nicer if it wasn't a takeaway.
Then uploaded the photos and slept at around... 2+?

Just got my D7000 last Saturday haha.
Yeah it's much much MUCH better than the D60.
Altogether paid S$2050 for a body, kit lens, dry box, UV filter and tripod.
Quite cheap in my opinion.
Now I won't lose to Ashriel's Canon EOS 7D :)

Going out with Ashriel for some shoots soon.
Probably next week.
Will be going to Mt. Faber and MacRitchie Reservoir.
And most likely some street shots.
Maybe the roof garden of Vivo City?
We'll be loaning out a high-speed lens for each of us anyway.
It's been so long since I went to Vivo City.

Come to think of it,
since the D7000 can record videos,
I can record myself playing TapTap now haha.
Just mount it on a tripod,
point and record.

Now I'm shooting at least 1 photo per day to upload on Facebook.

DIY Light Reflector 01

At the back is tapes at the sides to hold the aluminum foil and strings down.
Strings are so that there's somewhere proper to grip at.
The knot at the center can be shifted around the strings.
The strings aren't as steady as I had expected due to slight mistakes in my reinforcements.
The way the string is taped down on the further left is what I'll be doing if I have to make a new one.
Used the first DIY Studio Light for this shot.

I used the duller side of aluminum foil as a reflector, reason being the shinier side of it gives some unwanted reflection effects.

Center looks more concentrated.
The circle shape it produces is also quite obvious.

Went back to school this morning.
20 students from D&T and Art went to Sembawang's Bottle Tree Park.
Yeah of course I took pictures there.
But couldn't bring my D60 since it's troublesome without the strap.

Sat on a few wooden tables & benches under a tree.
Had a short briefing and introduction first.
Quite a lot of insects there.
Then felt something ticklish at the back of my neck,
so I brushed it off.
It fell onto my bag's flap.
Looked like a kind of plant that sticks onto fabric.
You know how Velcro got the idea of Velcro zip?
Yeah I thought it was that kind of plant.
So I brushed it off again,
and this time it fell onto my strap again.
Then I tried tapping the back of my strap to push it off.
Looked carefully and was like "OMG IT MOVES!!!"
It slowly crawled on the floor towards Ling Huey.
Everyone else were moving out of the way.

Then grabbed some stuff and went picnicking.

At the far right of this is where we picnicked at.

Were given these food for the exercise.
It's like setting up a trading store.
Then we'll receive orders from other groups,
and we'll have to guess what they want to eat.
After that go around exchanging the food we don't need for those on the list.
Literally no one wanted lettuce haha.
Yeah I know.
What's Cheesedale cheese doing there?
There was also a big packet of mash potatoes.
Another group got nothing but mini oranges and lots of coconuts.
My group took the cheese to exchange for bread.
The whole packet -.-
But we got pandan cakes instead.
Then they opened the packet and traded half of it.
Reuben said we needed cheese after agreeing to trade ~.~
So I brought a box of tomatoes over and traded for 4 pieces.

Another shot took from the place of our picnic.
During our break we had a mini-buffet.
The food are basically all those we brought over.
Didn't state that we can only eat those on our tables.
It's free for all.
Everyone had a hard time opening the coconut.
And every time it's opening,
the juice would shoot out.
Got my shirt wet for a while coz of it XD
I drank the coconut juice with the disposable plate.
Then left a bit to mix with the mash potatoes.

It turned out the mash potatoes are small packets of flavourings.
There was hot water provided,
but I just felt a little crazy there.
The mash potatoes turned out really nice though.
Not sure if it's coz of my coconut juice or not.

Ashriel got owned quite badly today.
He was helping Mr Chin bring the collages back to the staff room.
Then I automatically took his bag and placed it outside.
Everything just came automatically.
While I was switching off the lights,
I shouted to Jazli and Ashwin
"Set all the iMacs to sleep mode. Grab all your stuff and HIDE!!!"
Then Ashwin and I hid at the cabinets.
Jazli hid under the teacher's table.
I saw the reflection from one the iMacs.
Ashriel tried barging the door open.
But in the end took his stuff and left XD
I called him right before he sent an SMS to Ms Low,
coz his hard drive is still in the room.
LOL such a simple trick but he fell for it.

DIY Studio Lights 01

My new DIY studio light ^^
Built with my lamp, aluminum tray, cardboard, straws and aluminum foil.
The front piece will reflect direct light back onto the dish,
and the dish will reflect it forward.
But it kinda blocks out light as well.
Plus the straws will melt if I turn it on for too long.
The tray is also way too small.
Gonna build one myself next time so I can control the size.
Need to amend these mistakes in the next model.

Today was...
OK great actually.
Time passed pretty quickly during classes.
Again,
during A maths lesson I started working on the lightbox design again.
Glenn and Nicholas are so jealous haha =D
Every A maths lesson I'll be sketching away.

Decided to get a D7000.
It costs more but fellow photographers say it's worth it.
Problem now is I just can't let go of my D60.
Like...
I started my photography with it.
It's not my DSLR...
It's my friend.
A very good friend.
Maybe I'll a D7000 first,
then sell my D60.
But need to see if my parents allow.
It's my own money after all...
Not like I don't have a reason for not doing this.

Had lunch with Menon and Arifah.
Rei got bribed over.
Menon asked her to go over and he'll treat her to Macs.
But she said she has Art consultation so she'll join us later.
Teacher's gonna consult one by one.
And she's probably never gonna raise her hand and ask her over.
JJ just disappeared.
But he still came at around 1.30pm,
though he didn't eat anything.

Had Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese.
OK la.
Not just double cheese burger with the beef stuck together.
Tastes more than just that.

Halfway through 3 Indian guys with office outfit came in.
Not just that,
they were wearing the exact same.
And like Menon said,
they look like they'll clear a space in front of the cashier,
stand in a row,
start shaking their right legs,
snap their fingers,
and go "Michael, oh Michael~"
But sadly they couldn't find a seat and went off.

Went off at 1.56pm for MB.
The actual starts at 2.30pm,
but I thought maybe Ms Low locked them outside again.
So went back early haha.
Indeed they were locked outside.
But it isn't like only Jaryl and Ashriel are allowed in.
Ms Low practically didn't open the room for anyone until 2.15pm.
Couldn't even get to her through her extension.

Sent 5 groups out for photo taking.
When Jaryl and I finally went,
we searched high and low for the groups.
Ashriel, Alicia, Ashwin, Jazli, Yi Xuan.

Ashriel
Found half of his group in the hall.
They said Ashriel's not letting them use the camera.
So I called Ashriel and he said he was demonstrating some nice shots to them.
And they'll be taking turns on the camera.
So I sent them back.

Ashwin
Met his group below the hall right after meeting Ashriel's.
There were only 2 person.
Ashwin said his group is missing.
His group was Marcus, Clarant and 2 others.
But I just sent them back to Ashriel -.-
They went to the wrong group.
So got Ashwin to go up and join them.

Jazli
This team didn't had much problems.
But the thing is they only had 4 members for some reasons -.-

Alicia
She's leaving at 3.30pm,
so I told her we'll find them afterwards and I'll takeover.
But she's clearly MiA (Missing in Action)
Found her at the corridor in the end,
then followed them around until at 3.30 I took over.

Yi Xuan
Saw them outside the CD shelter so went down to join them.
They were allowed in,
but apparently they didn't dared to go in.
I still brought my group down anyway.
Firs time I'm going in too.
Just talk to the conductor,
then start snapping away.

What else...
Stayed back after CCA,
until 6.30pm since it's raining.
I do have an umbrella,
but I didn't felt like going home so oh well.

It's Raisins & Hazelnuts Chocolate.
The raisins' sun-rippened in California.
And the green one's Jaryl's.
Mousse au Chocolat w/ fine cocoa.
Whatever that means.
I only understand Spanish -.-
Both seems like quite high-quality chocolates.

At first she tell me to meet at 2pm in the hall.
She has something for me and Jaryl.
Then we thought it's more work ~.~
So 2pm I went up with Liping coz Jaryl had work to do.
She said she forgot to take the stuff and went down -.-
Then when she came back,
the 2 chocolates in her hands.
Finish talking and I was like "That's all?"
"Huh? Then what else you want?"
"I thought you have more work for us"
Diao so paiseh sia.
Sounded like chocolates aren't enough for us haha.

And she also has a request for me.
There's this competition on Lianhe Zaobao.
I'll take the photo,
she'll think of the quotes.
Then the reward will be shared.
Good chance to make some money haha.

Today Jia Le came back.
He asked whether there's any afternoon lessons tomorrow.
Douglas and I told him 3-4pm there's SS,
and 4-5pm there's Chemistry.
After Chinese lesson he asked Gerald if it's true.
Too bad I already got to Gerald before he came in XD
Even until now he's still thinking that lessons end at 5pm tomorrow XP

MB got our newbies today.
At first it's just 6 members.
But 3 appealed in,
and 1 appealed out.
So now we have 8.
When Ms Low asked them which branch they wanna go to at Sec 2,

Well...
Yeah today was fun.
The only thing me and Ashriel can discuss about is gadgets haha =D

OK so today went to school as usual.
In fact everything went as usual,
until after national anthem,
passed my newspaper to Douglas,
then went off to meet the others at the back.

Ms Deborah look at the 4 of us like gonna scold like that.
I point at Ms Low towards her right,
she turn around,
Ms Low go the other way -.-
Make us look like criminals XD

Then Ms Low pass cameras to the 2 juniors...
Ashriel went in with them first.
I went to get changed.
Change finish,
keeping my uniform in my bag,
the hall gonna play my video XD
Haven't zip bag already chiong up.

Jia Rong's quite interested actually.
Anything he doesn't knows,
he'll ask.

Snap around the classes...
Swapped DSLR with Ashriel for half an hour.
His 7D is awesome XD
From my perspective of course.
19-point autofocus system.
ISO runs from 100, 125, 160, 200, 225 etc.
Mine only allows 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, Hi 1
And there's live view mode.
It's something I've never tried in DSLRs.
Plus even with ISO 3200,
the image quality is still clear.
Mine would already be rainbow at 1600.

Went to music room to snap the best hampers.
Got one looks like a boat with a crane's head.

Other hampers arranged at the foyer.
Snap finish,
go up hall snap the presentations.

After that the 2 juniors left.
But Ashriel was like hell enthu.
So went to block 9 to take.
Cramped in a lift up to the 13th floor.
Coz me and Ashriel cramped in,
Jeff and Kevin can't get in XD

Almost every floor we went to,
like all done already.
Some even climb 12 stories up.
Then see Teng Fong climb up.
We all clap.
Turns out is Wen Shen's hamper.
WTH man!!!

Snap all the way down to the first floor le.
So the 2 of us,
together with Liping,
went back to school for importing.
Went back to school to import the photos.
Told Ms Low to import my photos first since I gotta leave.
In the end I still ended up leaving same time as the others.
But I'm glad I stayed.
The students brought the extra hampers back to the staff room.
One of the cans fell down the spiral staircase
and almost hit Ms Ang.

After that Ashriel continue taking some photos in school,
while I rushed for the lunch appointment.
Turns out when I reached there,
only Arifah and Menon reached -.-

Talk talk talk...
Talked for around 3 hours.
Then went to the railway track to snap some shots.
Thank god it's not raining.
But the shots weren't satisfactory :(

I intend to buy a D90.
Ashriel says he's considering buying my D60.
D90 price now around 1.3k,
so 500 from my D60,
400 from CNY,
200 from EAGLES award.
Left 200,
hopefully my parents will let me draw out from my bank bah...

Tomorrow CNY celebration,
then CIP.

Let's not talk about CNY first.
The last MB meeting,
had FCP training (for the juniors)
Ashriel, Jaryl and I went in first to install FCP on the required computers.
As usual,
we took a few of Ms Yuliana's pineapple tarts to bite on.
I bent down to search for the FCP's disc,
and Jaryl was holding the plastic can of pineapple tarts over my head to Ashriel.
I didn't know it was directly on top,
so I stood up
and *thud*.
Wut Da Hell ~.~
Luckily the tarts didn't fly out.

OK back to CNY.
Tomorrow's celebration is complete crap.
It'll just be prize presentations and videos.
Yeah I know.
One of the video's done by me.
But the theme just doesn't fits.
And there most likely won't be any performance at all.
After that CIP just go to the block, knock, pass the hamper, BYE~!!!

OK now for the serious part of it.
Of course,
I'll be getting ang bao money.
Problem is I'm not quite sure what to buy.
I have 4 choices in mind.

Nikon SB-700 External Flash
I'll get to do flash photography with this.
More power, larger distance, bounce flash, diffusion etc.
And I don't have an external flash yet,
so this is considered something new rather than an upgrade.

A new DSLR body
Well even second-hand shops won't accept my D60.
It's just way too outdated with the D3100 having 11-point autofocus.
But it'll just be an upgrade.

iPad
Here's a little secret.
I tend to read some articles about blah blah blah before I sleep,
on my iPhone.
But it's sickening having to read from such a small screen.
So I'm also thinking of buying an iPad so that I can take down my notes and read articles with more ease.
But I already have an iPhone, so yeah.

OK more accurately it's ranting time.

I like how my English standards are going nowadays.
It's gotten better since the last month.
Hopefully it'll continue to get better bah~

Not sure why but it's the first time in my memory that such a thing happens.

The host sounds so fluent.

Great.

Even the 16GB iPad costs $800 though.
Maybe the prices have fallen since its last online update.

Dropped A maths.
Nowadays during A maths lessons
I'm just using the time to study other subjects.
Anyway my dropping is sure to be accepted.
A maths marks have always been at 30+
After dropping...
It's a lot more relaxed.
So now my subjects are all down to what I want.
English, Basic Chinese, E Maths, Pure Chemistry, Pure Physics, D&T, Combined Geog & SS.
So 6 subjects to use for O levels.
English C5, Maths A2, Chem A2, Physics B3, D&T A2, Combined Humanities C6.
For L1R2B2 I'll have 14 points.
But A2 is just my lowest expectations.
Actually I hope it'll be A1 for Maths to D&T.
But a little impossible for someone like me huh.
Need study much harder than I did in PSLE.

I just realised I like writing stories.
Not exactly stories.
Maybe just short stories.
Never really bothered trying out.
But every time I start writing an English compo,
I won't stop until I'm done.
Seem to prefer writing narratives about political issues.
Yeah I know I suddenly changed the topic.
But who cares.
It's just a blog anyway.
As long as I know not to do such things during serious times.

Recently...
On the school life side,
everything's been normal.
This year's teachers are the best set I've got.
Hate to use the word "set" on teachers,
but I just can't think of any other suitable words.

Never enjoyed English lessons until Mrs Shirley Teo started teaching us.
In fact,
I never specifically wanted any English teachers in the school.
Or rather,
I never wanted any of them.
All were boring.
But great~
Now all's good.

Chinese is great too.
The CLB teacher's really fun.
And maybe she's right.
My class's standards are caught between O levels and Basic.
We fail for O levels,
but are aces in basic.
What do I know anyway?
Just have to trust her.

D&T's fun too,
but not as fun as what I expected.
The theme this year just doesn't seems to suit me well.
I kinda like designing for every problem I find in real life.
And when I feel like it,
I'll just join these solutions together to accommodate a larger population.

This Friday,
we're gonna retire from our Mediabytes posts.
I think I'm gonna miss being an ex-co.
Not sure if I'll be able to keep my competition when I'm out of this school.
Probably not.
Compared to other students out there,
I'm nothing.

I just realised there's so much things I wanna learn.
Time travel's already made possible huh...
But scientists say we can only send objects back to when we first turned the machine on.
So does that means if I turn one on now,
infinite numbers of objects will start flying out?
Considering the machine was used for generations of course.
But if I turn it on,
these objects will crush the place.
So no one would get to put more things in it in the future.
And if that's the case,
that means nothing's gonna come out of the machine,
right?
Since the machine won't be there anymore.
Complicated.
Teleportation.
scanning every single particle in the object,
then breaking this object down to molecular size.
After that transfer the molecules over and fix them back accurately.
And scientists say if we teleport living organisms,
the body and memories might go over,
but no one knows whether the "soul" will follow through.
Existence.
How long had things existed?
Not since the Big Bang.
There must be something for the Big Bang to occur.
How long had parallel universes existed?
How many has ceased to exist?
If God exists,
then what made God?
Some other "gods" of a higher level than the current known one?
If a high entity exists,
then there must be one that's even higher.
On and on and on.
Christians say God is an infinite being so it's hard for us to comprehend him.
Then dear God must be really tired of consciousness now.
Imagine living forever since forever.
No time means no meaning in life.
You can always do things some other day.
Dimensions.
Maybe existence began when something from another dimension came over?
But how can they come over when this dimension does not even exists at all?
Arh...
My head's bursting.
So much more to think about,
yet I only have around 75 years to live.
But I think if I ever find the answer to all these I'll be insane already.

I guess I'm just gonna stop these thoughts for now.
Never failed to bust my brain with these questions.

Feel like buying an iMac...
A Macbook of course.
I'm gonna miss the softwares like Final Cut Pro.
I still have until April.
After that I must concentrate on my studies.

Today MB that time Shu Qin shout my name,
I look up,
then she cover her mouth,
drop back down and start giggling.
Call until like calling boyfriend like that >.>
Whole room laughing away.
But the one who tio embarrassed is me sia ~.~
NVM I embarrass her once,
she embarrass me once,
we're quits ^^

Was quite scary too.
I went to the toilet,
A sink was flowing.
I pulled it up,
still heard the gushing sound,
so I turned my head,
and the other one stopped immediately.
It's not like someone was there to push them down.
When I went in the light were off.
That means it was some time since the last user.
And before I went in,
Aide did too.
When he's inside the sink started flowing.
Then Clarant and a few boys went to take a look.
Clarant said he heard paper crumpling and water drop sounds.
But Jaryl and Ms Low said it's most probably just the pipes.
Problem is when I stopped the flow,
the other one didn't stop immediately.
It took long enough for me to think a bit and look over.

Next week Friday I'll be doing training for FCP.
Specialised training huh...
they might not get used to the seriousness of FCP.
Might wanna do specialised photography training for some too.
Some of them really deserves special training.
Hopefully this year's newbies are good...

Second consecutive day of blogging.
Happens a lot last time,
but hardly happens now.

Anyway I haven't even thought of what to post.

OK NVM I just thought of one.
You know...
Last year,
the boring lessons are English, Geography, SS and Chinese.
The okay ones are Chemistry and Physics.
D&T was awesome coz I liked it.
And Maths was fun with Mdm Mary's Indian accent.
But now that we have a new English and Chinese teacher,
it's like Chemistry and Physics are the boring ones.
They're still nice compared to others' lessons,
but in terms of competition,
they've lost...
Yeah I know.
Let's not use my teaching to compare.
I'm not even an NIE trainee.
And oh yea not sure what's up with my voice.
It seems like I can't even talk loudly to a class.

Either way,
no more time.

Reward for taking photos on third day of Sec 1 Orientation.
Not exactly reward.
We usually get a snack or two after a long day's work.
Ms Low said this one's quite expensive,
and it does tastes expensive too.
It's basically a salty biscuit
with a layer of sweet chocolate on top.
2 pieces in a pack.
For my second piece,
half of the chocolate fell off on a road.
Too bad haha.

So cold nowadays.
It's completely natural to have daily rain at this time.
Don't ask me how I know.
It's just from years of careful observation.
But first 2 weeks of the year,
everyday raining.

But then the problem is the air's way too cold.
It's like natural air-con every day.
At least for me.
Maybe around 24.5 degrees?
I usually sleep at 24.
Quite high for an air-con right?

Even when I turned the water heater to hot water,
it's still rather cold.
Especially just now.
I couldn't even feel the warmth in the water -.-

Cups too.
Whenever I drink,
there'll be white "frosting" on the cup.
Hope it'll get warmer soon.
But of course not too warm.
A cloudy day with a cooling breeze would be nice.

Today's CCA Fair was completely screwed up.
Our semi-pro's not working.
It just turns off automatically after a few seconds.
End up just talking and showing some productions.

D&T's coursework theme is out.
Quite hard...
For personal safety reasons I shall not disclose the theme.

And I'm designing a DIY portable light tent.
It's not for the coursework though.
It's for myself.
Won't be fun if I disclose anymore information on it.
So just wait till I come up with a design
that meets my expectations.

I guess there isn't much else.
I actually intend to fix my Fujifilm F480
If it's fixed then I'll use it as a PNS.
Hope CNY faster come.
I want use my ang bao money buy flash.
Or maybe buy a camera bag.
If possible of course I'll want to buy both.
Already have my eyes fixed on the DA's camera bag
and Nikon SB700.
If I have to choose I guess I'll go for the flash first.
Not sure.
I'll decide when CNY is over.

Mmm...
Today was a great day.
Lessons ended at 12.30pm,
then Arifah called and asked me for lunch.
I rejected coz I needed to go home and get my equipments.
But then after that I decided I'll just take it after lunch
and be a little late for CCA.

Eat halfway Mdm Pua happened to past by Macs.
So Menon asked her about Alex saying she's sick.
Then Mdm Pua also blur blur de.
Turns out you know what she say?
"Oh I know why already. 2 years ago my father..."
Me and Arifah were like "2 years ago? o.O"
Yea some kind of super-slowpoke Alex is.

Went home and took my equipments.
First time I'm bringing my tripod to school since it'll be night shots.
Then reach school already,
tell them the agenda for the meeting,
Brought all the sec 2s up to 2D classroom for training.
Separate place is easier.

First taught about shutter speed.
I was just starting my engine so still quite nervous.
But then we just decided to split up into different smaller groups.
Then I'll just teach the groups one by one so it'll be easier to understand.
And of course also less stress for me.
So shutter speed part still nervous,
but around second or third group onwards then quite okay le.

Next taught about Aperture.
Nothing much actually.
It's serious stuff after all.

Reach focal length that time then they start laughing le.
Seems like the idea of showing how scary 200mm focal length is worked.
Showed them photos taken at various focal lengths outside my room.
Glad that I got their attention of course.
It was one of the more fun parts of the entire course.

Megapixels only a little fun,
since it's about how companies cheat their consumers' money.
But then Ms Low came in halfway.
Talk talk talk,
then she announce the school got us new digital cameras with 10 megapixels.
A good example of the general public falling for their tricks.

After that went on with lens composition.
All I did was show them some examples of shots expected by the school.
Just some close-ups and wide shots.
Then comes the fun part.
Showcased some of the most unglam or weird situations I've preserved.
And one of them was Shuqin haha.
When I showed it to the others I told everyone to crowd around
so that other groups can't see anything ^^

Went down to iMac lab to kill time.
Jaryl's still editing the photo montage for initiation ceremony.
Ms Low's also there.
So after a while Liping Jia Qi and Yi Xuan left.
The 3 of us are just waiting for the ceremony to start at 7pm.
Then Mr Foo came to check on the video,
after which I followed him to take the 3 packets of rice for MB.
So me, Jaryl and Ms Low just sat there eating and chatting.

Talked about Direct Poly Admission.
She said most of the students who applied for it will get in.
So for me maybe no problem la.
But still a little worried.

We were supposed to be eating without anyone spotting us.
But Mr Foo came in to take the DVDs.
When he left I was like "Hey Mr Foo. One more thing before you leave.
You didn't see us eating here"

Went to take Jaryl's camera and a tripod from Ms Tan.
I brought my own so I didn't need to lend one.

Went up to pass the extra DVD to Mr Foo.
Then just sat there accompanying him.
The script writes "Next, our MediaBytes club has made an exclusive footage..."
I see already was like "Eh this kind say exclusive, like rather insulting leh"
Not that I'm insulting Jaryl's ability,
but it was done in a few hours.
It's like if this kind is considered exclusive,
that means MB can't be anywhere much better.

So ceremony started bla bla bla.
We just take take take as usual.
Then suddenly it goes like this.
Speakers: *buzz* BOOOOOOM
Crowd: WHOA!!!!
*Lasted for 5 seconds or so*
*Strong vibrations can be felt on the ground at the same time*
MC: Ladies and gentlemen, I apologise for what just happened. I assure you that was not me.

LOL dam funny man.

Next is campfire.
Campfire nothing much to talk about.
Basically I used a tripod most of the time and had long shutter speeds.

Today first school day of the year.

morning go school...

Reached forth floor that time.

Climb back down to second floor and saw Bing Yang.
So we climbed up together again.
Then at forth floor we decided to move to the opposite block.
Halfway there saw Jia Le and Douglas behind us.

Assembly as usual,
then Sec 1s dismiss to class first at 8am.
Teachers talk talk until 9am.
Go class.
At first want put some things down and tell Mr Gilbert de.
But then he bell ring already still not here.
So nvm passed my storybook to Bing Yang,
then told him to help some stuff on my table.
And off I go to Sec 1 Orientation~

DIY Light Tent which I made in 4 hours ;)
Not exactly a light tent.
More like paper light tent.
I used plain paper instead of fabric.
But it still works quite well.
When I have enough time I'll gather proper materials and make a real one.

Just back from Malaysia this afternoon.
Arrived earlier than expected but that's not important.

I'm just ranting about the change of directors in movies this year.
Movies like Narnia.
It's the only reason I needed not to TRY watching it.

And next year it's Pirates of the Carribean: At Stranger Tides.
Seriously, first they have the curse for the Black Pearl's crew,
which was never described as skeletons.
Then they had Davy Jones not being called
squid or octopus or cuttlefish man.
But now in Stranger Tides they changed the director,
and they mentioned "mermaids" and "zombies" in the trailer.
Not even the real movie yet -.-
At least try to trick me into watching it.

I have a feeling
that the next Resident Evil is gonna have "zombie" in it.
It's like showing the whole world what happened
when Sanjay came into SDMA 2009.

What else is gonna have a follow-up...
Can't think of any but oh well,
I'm gonna go try watching the pirated version of Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Went Night Safari today,
but they didn't allow flash photography
so I couldn't get good photos of animals.
Anyway there was a fire show first.
After that went tram ride.
Only had time to stop once though.
It was already gonna close.
The leopard was so near to the glass.
In fact, just a few centimeters between us.
Kept patrolling around the glass area.
And some deers and antelopes were right in front of us,
no barricades at all.
OK whatever enough of my poor language.

Dam...
Darkrooms sound so interesting.
Hope I'll get to enter one soon.
Let's not say "one day" since it might be years from now.
But there's still one question for me.
Is it only for film?
Digital SLRs can go with their digital darkroom anyway.
Just a computer with high-speed graphic rendering,
a few powerful softwares, thought Photoshop will do,
and of course a nice printer.
Doesn't even needs any darkness.

And speedlights too~
Or in general terms, external flash.
It's just so much better when you can tilt your flash around.
Doesn't gets the harsh effect.
Tried covering the flash with tissue too.
Gets a nice soft effect.
Seriously, pop-up flashes are so limiting.
Gets a really harsh effect,
and they can't be bounced.
But how do I go about getting one...
Obviously Chinese New Year won't help.
Buy a SB-600 from red packets and spendings for the year will be gone~
Hope I can get a few jobs at ClubSnap soon.
Then most likely I'll be able to buy a more useful SB-900.

And my body too!

My DSLR body.
A D60 definitely isn't enough.
3-point autofocus system.
Nikon DSLRs nowadays have at least 11-point.
But still at least I have a DSLR.
Completely different from a PNS camera.

Anyway most important thing now is to focus on my O levels.

Went to STGCC on Saturday.
At first there was 3 person going,
Ashraf, Arifah and me.
Then, in the morning,
Arifah's parents saw Menon on the news in STGCC.
Talk about rotten luck -.-
But Ashraf guessed that it was a huge establishment shot,
and everyone was doing their own stuff,
including Menon showing weirdo faces at the camera.

Father dropped me off at BPP,
then straightaway Ashraf SMS-ed me to meet at CCK interchange instead.
Haish NVM I'll just get the chocolate Arifah told me to get for Menon.
Didn't expect it to survive the trip though.

SMS-ed Ashraf to ask about the way there.
He didn't know either >.>
SMS-ed Arifah to ask about the route there and Syamin.
She literally sent me Syamin's number and asked me to call her ~.~
Agreed to go there with Ashraf then meet Syamin and her friend there.

Met Ashraf at CCK bus interchange.
He was already reaching Jurong East Interchange -.-
He thought it was Expo,
so yeah...
Actually he did take the right track,
but thanks to Arifah...

190-ed to Orchard Road,
then got off at Plaza Singapura,
as instructed by Arifah.
Had to board bus 700 next.
14mins till arrival, or so the board says \(~.~)/
Went in to a random mall so Ashraf could get his lunch.
Went back,
we missed the bus by a minute -.-

Waited for another 13mins for the bus.
Had a feeling we're waiting for a 13min bus
just to sit on it for 5mins or so.
Next instruction is get off when we see the Suntec City building,
right before the Esplanade bus stop.
So silly us got off right when we saw the Esplanade.
Obviously isn't the right place...
So we tried walking.

Had the worst half hour of my life.
We entered the Esplanade,
called Syamin.
Menon said to find the exit saying Suntec City.
We were like right in the middle of the 2 exits,
and in sight.
Where's the board? ~.~
Didn't Menon say "straight in the face, you can feel the Suntec-ness"?
Apparently she meant Esplanade MRT.
We kept going front, back, front, back.
Then, we found a map at the MRT exit.
The map obviously says go north,
so I took out my compass (on my iPhone. Who the hell would bring one)
But the way Ashraf insisted is the South...
Kept telling him but he won't listen...
After a long run we finally reached the Esplanade MRT station.
And then you know what happened after that.
Felt so retarded man...

When we reached Suntec,
I was like OMG I remember now!!!
That way's to the City Hall MRT station,
though it's like walking 10km at least it's easier.

Next year gonna study like no life,
but I probably can't handle that feeling.
Depends on my direct admission bah.
If my direct admission is through
then O levels is just to make my certificate look nicer.
But I think still must at least pass to get into post-secondary bah.

NVM if I like it I won't mind travelling so far for it.

It's to balance out my sleep time.

First 2 weeks didn't feel much like holidays.
Got packed with hospital stuff and extended curriculum.

I want spend more time playing before my O levels come.

Now I'm really starting to miss the recordings.
As in the recording feature on digital cameras.
My F480 spoiled shortly after I bought the D60.
Shouldn't have bought D60 anyway.
D80 came out much better.
And luckily I didn't sell my D60 to buy a D80.
D3000 was much better.
Luckily I didn't switch to a D3000 either.
D3100 is much better since i already have the lenses I need.
I'll just sell off the D60 body and buy a D3100 body.
But can expect something better from Nikon soon.
And I'm thinking of buying a Gorillapod too.
But it's not cheap.
DSLR Zoom is the only version that can really hold a DSLR.
And to think that a little ballhead is so expensive too.
Just doesn't makes much sense.

What else...
Not very late now though it's already 3am.
I've only been awake for 12 hours today.
That would mean 6pm on a normal school day.
It's strange how we can stay up longer during schooldays.

Guess I better go sleep.

Wonder if there'll be a software for iPhone screen recording,
then I can show some videos of my TTR3 once in a while.

Cydia has a new app called Screen Recorder which of course,
records the screen.
But it's paid so I got the cracked version of it.
When I added the source,
Cydia warned that it's known to have illegal apps.
Well?
Isn't Cydia itself illegal already?
Also got back AndroidLock from it ^^
Anyway I'll test it out by recording my TTR3 gameplay later,
then post the video here whether it's good or not.
If it's not then treat it as a sample for everyone bah~

Haven't changed a bit since when I first made it.

everything else is still well.
Most likely I'll make another one out of cardboard soon.

Sleeping hours haven't been right recently.

Didn't go to school for extended curriculum today again.
Had to go to the specialist to clear my nose.
Yea~
Tomorrow finally can go back school.
I'm quite looking forward to it actually.
Hate the feeling that i'm not in school
when everyone else is studying.
And school's been calling me daily to ask.
For one,
i already told Mr Gilbert i won't be going on Monday.
Apparently he forgotten.
Secondly,
on Monday after i got my MC,
i SMS-ed Yi Zhong to say that I'll only be back on Thursday.
Apparently the message didn't get to Mr Gilbert.
Thirdly,
Ms Low said she'll call Mr Gilbert to inform about my absence.
Most likely it didn't happen too.

Today go doctor there.
Go in he wear this "hat" with a light at the top.
Was like "What do you want with me now O.O"
But feels so much better after clearing it.
Later need wash my nose again~
Sian sia.
Bear with it bah.
Around 3 weeks can le.
Today third day only =.=
But NVM the day will come when i can stop washing.

So headache now.
Don't know why these 2 days keep having headache.
Anyway doc said i can eat the food in the list,
but just try to lessen the intake.

I'm sick of fishes and mushrooms everyday.
But i guess i have to avoid quite a bit
until my nose stops bleeding.

In my opinion the recent version is much better
than the version we download in Installous.

Used cotton to insert medicine into my nose.
Apparently I'm one of the very few that can't stand it,
So doc called anaesthetic specialist
and told me to come back at 12pm.
11pm need apply a cream on my hand to numb it a little.
Left it there and waited until the specialist came.
I see a guy standing at the door then he smile to me.
I guess his instincts told him I'm his next victim.

Go insert a tube to my hand.
Only hurt a little since I'm numbed.
Then chat with him.
Ask me about some stuff that interests me
so as to draw my attention away.

Go in the door of doom again.
Lie down,
tilt the chair downwards.
Then close my eyes.
Didn't even know he's already putting in the medicine.
No pain at all.
hand gets a stinging feel and slowly up to my cheeks,
then I'm gone from the world.
Just feels like I'm sleeping.
Then suddenly heard a voice calling my name,
and woke up.
Seeing lots of afterimages,
like how GUNDAM's mirage colloid works.
Everything in a daze.
My anaesthetics still taking effect.
Can't stand long.
Can't control my tears.
Mucus and blood flowing out but only enough to wet my nose.

Everyone looking at me and all frightened.
I can't even walk properly.
Need 2 person to support me.
One of the elderly pairs asked my Dad if it's really that terrible.
After all no one else outside knows I'm on anaesthetics.
Still remember everyone's eyes fixed on me when I came out.

Medicine's just for flu and to prevent infection.
The one that really matters is the salt.
A few cans of sodium bicarbonate.
Mix with a cup of water.
Then draw with a syringe,
and into my nostrils,
come out from the other one.
Need wash 4 times,
then guggle on the rest of the solution.
Half mouthful at a time.

Last day of school today.
Only had 2 periods of Physics and 1 English.
English basically we just continued watching transformers.
The girls obviously didn't watch before =.=
I go recess that time they still watching.
Eat finish come up they left the classroom door open
when they're watching next door.

wide open saying "free stuff in here"

Dangerous sia.
So just closed it then go next door continue watching.
Recess over liao we still watch until 11.36
since the girls say want see until the end,
so she fast forward it to the last part lor.
Forward until Optimus Prime's reactivated.

Anyway want watch then go internet watch lor.
The pirated version of it quality also not that bad.
Pirated discs have bad quality,
but Transformers 2 de still okay la.

Gave back result slip,
take down all the classroom decorations.
Mr Gilbert found 2 extra extended curriculum timetable.
Me and Nicholas lost ours so just nice we take 1 each ^^

Been using the same chair and desk
since the start of the year.
Just liked it alot for some reasons.

Going to leave the club next year.
Hopefully can see the Sec 1s come in,
then spend some time with them before i leave.
And hope next year Sec 1 Orientation camp can let me film too.
Been doing it for 2 years and it's fun.

Mine just words all over.

I only like blogging for 2 reasons.
First is to rant and record what happened in my life,

But speeding on the keyboard just feels so good.
Not really that high speed la.
My average only 70 words per minute,
according to Facebook's Typing Speed test of course.
But in Typing Speed test i extra careful de.
So normal typing maybe only around 60 words per minute.

LOL bio students still having lesson now.
At first today 4pm then off de,
but Mr Tiong come in say lesson canceled.
Then during assembly that time we released early
coz the talk ended earlier.

Got to take a short look at our report slip just now.
Actually more than enough time to see what we have to.
And i got promoted~
Failed A-maths, Chinese and Combined Humanities.
Class position around 23 to 27,
and level position around 70+ out of the 160 students we have.
So i guess i'm in the top 50% despite the crappy marks i got.
Our maths need slightly more to win 3B.
But our Science is like completely owned.
Mr Gilbert say he set the papers too easily this time round,
and next year term 1 he'll purposely set it to O level standards
so 3B will "come back to Earth"
Haha.
Our Chemistry was killer paper anyway so i guess i don't mind losing in that.
But Physics man...
Anyway most people didn't do as well,
so i'm quite satisfied.
For bio is the bio students' problem liao.
Lucky never show D&T sia.
If not 3A D&T students xia sui liao.
Theory paper only 1 person passed. ><
But lucky theory paper only 30% of the overall.

School's starting again tomorrow.
At least it's 12.30pm off.
But go home also nothing much to do.
Most likely tomorrow getting result slip.
I can't possibly drop to NA la~
My English passed along with my overall.
But still a little worried leh.
I need 46% to pass.
I got 51%.
Alot others didn't get it.
Maybe I'm just used to worrying about English marks.
If i hadn't hit the target this time
then now I should be really....nervous.
But at least I'm quite relaxed at this moment,
or so i should be.

Now that exams are over what should I do?
Surely I'll like to rest for a month or two.
But then there's still extended curriculum.
And everyday after the extended curriculum,
there's MB.
Yeah,
MB's the time for me to rest.
Guess I'm bound to being a workaholic
if I get a media-based job in the future.
But I'm not sure exactly which one I want.

There's D&T tomorrow.

Yesterday had a lucid dream again.
I still remember it until now,
how terrible the world seems to have become.
Failed products of human evolution
turned into living-dead.
Nuclear missiles fired in hundreds
from thousands of miles away.
And how everything ended nicely.
For some reasons i can't control my dreams even when lucid.

Tomorrow promotion day so no need to go school.
Hope won't be so boring at home.
Very long never go out for lunch on Fridays le.
Don't feel like doing anything leh.

Maybe I've really changed alot these days.
I don't feel like the usual me anymore.
I get to utilize my thinking better,
and i can think of better ideas than last time.
The only thing that didn't change
is that I'm still not using
my thoughts for academical purposes.

So hazy nowadays.
Yesterday during morning assembly in parade square,
Sol's nothing more than a red orb that lost its glow.
We can clearly see the shape of the Sun,
without any jets of light blinding us.
Absolutely none.
Too bad can't take a photo of it.
Would've been great if i can snap with my DSLR.
And there's this grayish atmosphere everywhere.
It's like dropping too much contrast in photos.
Really bad atmosphere nowadays.
But I'd like to see that day when the haze
was so thick that afternoon looked like evening,
though i probably won't want to see it anymore after the first.

Okay guess it's enough for today.

Just came back from windsurfing.
Was epic fail.
Only thing i did was climb, squat, stand, pull, fall.
And coz i didn't take off my shirt,
my arm has a different shade now.
Same goes with my legs.

Everytime i fall,
I'll be like
"Oh gosh instructor said there're jellyfishes.

And when having the theory lesson,

coz i had a really long paragraph,
and i sound more like i'm expressing my anger.
But when i got back the paper,

Don't need worry about not going to Sec 4 Express liao ^^
Also, the 2 passes for comprehension,
they came from our class.
Apparently after first moderation,
4 passed.
Ms Chong must be quite happy now.
New teacher managed to get the only passes for compre.

theory paper only 1 person pass.

Got back Chemistry and Maths results today.

Chem was quite saddening.
Only 33%.
LOL i made Ms Kasturi check a PhD website
to see if xenon can be used as lasers.
But what's the big deal~
I still failed anyway.
But at least my overall passed ^^
OK la pass only.
I want B3 or above T^T

E-maths scored 42/60 for my first paper,
which is all the lower sec questions
plus congruence and similarities,
meaning an exact A2.
48/60 for my paper 2,
which consists of all the sec 3 topics,
basically 80% sharp.
So if let's say each is 50%,
I'll be having an A1, 75%.
Add the A1 into my year-overall,
it'll be an A2.
Distinction?
Not really.
Distinction in my dictionary refers to an A1.

Chinese as usual did badly,
but this time round i got 40% instead of 30+
But of course still didn't pass.
'cher gave us a paper
and asked us to write whether we want CLB or O levels.
I write O levels,
she ask me consider it again,
coz at the rate I'm studying for Chinese,
it's better to put my attention elsewhere.
Actually I'm not studying for it.
But Chinese O level is ahead of other subjects,
so I'll chiong when that time comes.

Yesterday final revision that time,
Ms Chong write the format down again for us.
She use the principal as recipient and a student counciller as writer.
So i thought if she's giving all these examples
while taking into consideration what's coming up,
more or less it'll be the same the next day.
So i took it down XD
Turns out today i see the paper.
Really principal sia.
I just had to write down what she gave as example yesterday.

She say the passage is something about business and sports,
or politics.
Then Nicholas say "Take from Time Magazine arh?"
Jackpot liao lor ^^
Today both the passage from Time Magazine de sia.

Maybe just revise a bit every night before i sleep.

It's already the second time.
Douglas sabotaged all the boys in the class once during PE lesson.
NVM~
Maybe someone really said something to him.
But now,
things are different.
Douglas drew the picture of a duck on the whiteboard of 3C,
wrote Allan's name on it,
then shot it with a gun.
After that Allan apparently threw his pencil case or something,
and the things inside broke.
Douglas then demanded Allan pay for the things he broke.
And apparently Allan apologised to him.
But Douglas wasn't satisfied and went to complain to Mr Gilbert.
And now there's a silent war.
Or so i heard.

Mr Gilbert told Allan that it's even out.
Douglas insulted Allan,
and Allan broke his things.
One for one?
Not in my opinion.
Supposing Douglas didn't had anything precious broken,
Allan's at the losing end.
Douglas's things can be replaced.
But Allan lost his pride.
It's not something that can be recovered.
Then Allan apologised?
For what?
He didn't owe him anything.
And despite that he complained to Mr Gilbert.
Allan called Douglas Dog-las in class?
OK so let's say he broke Douglas's pride too.
Then in the end Allan's still in the losing end.
It's not like he's petty or have no rights to be angry.

What does it concerns me?
I think I'll just tell Douglas to get lost when he gets near me.
If it happened to Allan now,
I don't know when it'll happen to me.

Had PE today.
Played soccer.
Saw Yi Zhong with the ball in front of him.
Then Yuan Sheng was behind stressing him.
SO i just chiong lor.
Turns out when i want stop and kick the ball,
i slid across and crashed straight into him.
He say he turn around suddenly BOOM.
And the others say he fell straight back afterwards.
I think i did kick the ball though,
except it was reckless.

Then he start the ball one time.
It was coming straight for me,
so i blocked it with my leg lor.
Hit until dam pain.
Then when i turn,

Slept for quite a while just now.
And i have to wake up for tuition tomorrow.

1 day less of waking up late.

I just realised my stamina's getting better and better nowadays.
Maybe i'm just ignoring the fact that i'm tired.
Really have to thank those 2 for running ahead yesterday.

And i realised something else recently.
Those fats in my legs...
They might not be fats after all.
I remember someone thought they were muscles.
Yesterday when i happened to look at them after running...
my veins form on the outside.
But i've had them for so long...
Why haven't i been able to jog fast too?

Didn't spread my legs wide enough?
Come to think of it,
i've been jogging in small steps all the while.
Or is it simply that i need to warm them up before i can run?

One more thing i have to comment about.
When someone jogs too fast during warm up,
alot people's shouting at them to slow down.
Seriously...
I'm referring to ONE specific person,
but i'm not gonna mention the name.
Doesn't it makes more sense to save the energy for running
than shouting to slow down?
It's not that they're running faster.
It's that you're wasting your breath on shouting,
and you're the one that's going slower.

People have been wondering about the red 'C' on my left palm.
Yeah,
i drew it myself.
I even bought a red permanent marker solely for that use.
If i let out the reason for it,
it'll definitely sound lame.
That's coz others have different ways of seeing things.
Or to be more specific,
i'm the different one.
I keep telling myself i'm just like the others.

Edited teachers' day photo montage.
This year's will be quit a grand ceremony.

Stayed until it's dark.
Mr Mus's last day but didn't see him.
Don't know what to do now.
Stressing myself out is like a game to me.

Then come home already got my mood spoiled by my Mom.

Work's not done yet.
Maybe i'll go fix something to eat.

Chemistry and Geography results yesterday.

Chemistry i actually managed to get a B3 ==
Didn't even expect i'll pass la~
But man...
sure is sickening.

Lost my A2 because of this.

Geography still failing...
But at least not as bad as last time.
Coz this time round more people fail,
but i maintain my ~~marks~~ failed marks

High spirits today.
OM say want hair check,

Bought new keyboard.
Gaming keyboard for $18 sia~
Quite cheap.
But problem now is that i need to get used to the new design.
The keys aren't so deep, which is good.
And the Insert, Home, End and stuff are 3x2 instead.
That's the tough part to get used to.
I always use them when i need to move around the page.
But once i get used to it i guess it'll be a pretty good keyboard.

Double the excitement.
Somemore got people hold funeral at the shelter under my flat.
I mean...of all days today?
OK la don't laugh at other people's funeral.

I bet the diagram's drawn with Microsoft Paint or some crap programmes.
Acute angles look like obtuse angle.
Obtuse angle look like acute angle.
Small angles get so much space.
Then big angles get so little space.
90 degrees don't look like 90 degrees.
And i just confirmed i lost 2 marks coz a 60 degrees looked like a 90.

Yesterday 1 hour of D&T lesson.
Nearly got killed by Willie twice.

First time is the "key" is still on the lave machine,
but he go turn it on.
Lucky facing downwards,
if not shoot in my direction le.
And that key,
it's so hard that even if it hits the ground,
the ground will break and nothing happens to the key.

Second time is when i'm adjusting the aluminum rod.
The machine not moving,
me and Faqih's hands are in there,

Then i enter the train and turn around.

Then reached Yew Tee le.
Wen Shen ahead of us.

Just nice when Kevin at the same step as Wen Shen,

Haven't had dinner yet.
Lunched at 4.45pm or so.
Now still full.
But gotta eat soon coz late le.

New remedial schedule sucks.
But at least no lessons after any Tuesday D&T.
Next week last workshop session le T^T
And tomorrow MB again.
Everyone just go there edit edit and keep editing until time's up.
Got 2 more weeks to do so.

But think sensibly.
If 1 week 2 sessions.
Each session lasts 2.5 hours.
That means 1 week 5 hours.
2 weeks 10 hours.
But the thing is,
they're inexperienced for Sec 1s,
and the seniors' top priority is actually guiding the Sec 1s.
It's actually a rather short amount of time.
And for this one, we can't drag the time.
Last time i took a few days of work for Sports Day photo montage.
This time it's up to the Sec 1s then.
Maybe will be holding the Sec 1s back tomorrow...
See first.
If their performance good then nothing for me to tell them.
But if not really desirable,
